The Dyson is great, but whoever designed it with a trigger that has to be depressed the whole time you're using it made a serious mistake. What's wrong with an on/off switch? I can't do my whole house with it because my trigger finger won't last that long.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not a bad vacuum. But a few issues I would have liked to know about before buying. Very small dust bin. Filter requires frequent washing and 24 hrs to dry before smother vacuum session. Instructions are for illiterates. I am not so I had a lot of problems understanding them. Battery life was ok. Easy to use.

My second Dyson. I had a v6 for years. It was time to replace it. So I tried this newer model. Very pleased.

I received this as a gift for my birthday, and I love it! The only problem is that the battery just suddenly stopped working about 2 weeks after I started using it. Battery shows fully charged but the unit won’t turn on. We bought a new battery, and it’s worked great since. I love how easy it is to get under furniture, to pick up small messes without needing the heavy vacuum, and so far I’ve used 3 attachments on a regular basis. Our cleaning lady definitely prefers using this to our regular size vacuum! I need to figure out replacing the battery under warranty, but I love this handy vacuum and highly recommend it!

The best thing is that everything comes apart for easy cleaning. Lots of hair was wrapped around the motor bar but was easily cleaned because I took it apart and removed the hair with no problem. Would be nice to have a lock on the trigger switch to ease any finger fatigue. Would also be nice to have some type of mechanism at the universal joint at the bottom of the stick to keep the unit upright and standing on its own. Otherwise, a great machine.

Our vacuum stopped working within two weeks of purchase. Using the app we were advised a new battery was needed. We requested the new battery since pir purchase was still under warranty and have not received a response. We are very disappointed in our purchase. This is most expensive vacuum I have ever purchased and am shocked by how poor the quality.

I’ve always heard good things about Dyson. I always wanted one but the price I thought was high. Not anymore! It’s the best vacuum I’ve ever had!! Well worth the money!! It’s lighter weight and easy on my back. It’s so easy to empty and clean too.
