Excellant Safety feature locking from both sides

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After I purchased and installed the dual cylinder lock (key used on both sides of cylinder to prevent someone from reaching in and turning deadbolt by hand after breaking window) I knew what was coming from my wife---we can't have this, if there is a fire getting key and unlocking will not work. I showed here the slot in the wall I made with key placement and also were i put a secondary key (also near the door). Once again i was told this will not work. I showed her the benefit that if someone broke a window they could not reach in and unlock door and left it at that. Over the next few days I watched her as she would run, grab stored key, and unlock door. I also observed her doing the same---but without grabbing key and pretend to turn a deadbolt handle. I never brought up the issue again and after a few days when she left to run errands I took out the Double Cylinder Deadbolt and i
reinstalled a traditional Single Cylinder. When she returned the very first thing she said was why do we have this unsafe lock back in the front door. I believe that the above story tells it all. When you want safety, you want Kwikset and the Double Cylinder Deadnoult

Bought this to replace old cylinder and was more than pleased that "Smart Key" was available. Saved making all new keys for various applications.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I own multiple rental properties and the bump-proof SmartKey technology allows me to re-key the rental units from one tenant to the next. And the quality is superb. The finishes on 3 year old units look just like the day I bought them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Looked around to replace three old deadlocks in my house. Found these at Home Depot and was told these were an excellent lock with a simple way to change the locks at any time. These are not only solid and sturdy, but very easy to change as well. Perfect if you only one to open one door for a specific reason or maybe key all of them together so one key fits all!. These will last many years so the investment in these are well worth it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased 8 of these deadbolts, all keyed differently. I have a rental property, and wanted the ability to re-key the locks easily, and inexpensively, whenever new tenants moved in.
Not only were the locks easy to install, but re-keying the locks takes around ten seconds.
The locks have now been installed for approximately one year, and all still look great
and function flawlessly.

No latch with Drive-in Collar

I purchased this lock and it does not come with the option of removing the faceplate for the latch. It doesn't specify anywhere on the packaging and the instructions say nothing about purchase separately. Very poor design and instructions. The face plate should be removable like your door knobs.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
