Lock failure

I just replaced my previously purchased Kwikset lock due to internal failure of the Cylinder lock. The cast area of cylinder retention (Snap ring Groove) in the Chassis failed and the Cylinder lock fell out when the key was removed. No external damage to the cylinder lock or Chassis was noted. The lock lasted 8 years installed with daily use. I believe this was a one-off manufacturing material failure so I replaced it with the same model. The removal & installation very easy as was use of the key Kwikset system. The lock provided smooth operation up to the point of failure.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worked twice now inside key not working

Bought this and it is junk reprogrammed inside and outside keys worked twice now inside will not work and outside is working but very stiff to turn
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was in need of a new lock and deadbolt for my one door so I got this kwikset Smartkey which I’ve had for a month now and love it. Easy to install plus it has a lifetime warranty. It’s also kick in resistant, saw resistant and drill resistant plus pick resistant plus you can re-key if you loose your key. I love this deadbolt and key set.

LOVE the smartkey system

We had a small collection of locks and deadbolts. Enter the smartkey system - it's a game changer! Easy swap to keep things secure without having to jostle all the different locks and keys. Installation is simple. Same solid and reliable deadbolt with less fuss!

The lock itself looks great and the materials is of high quality. The deadbolt is very smooth and functions flawlessly. I would definitely recommend this product.

Great new lock

Since it has the smart key feature it is very beneficial when remodeling and adding it to current doors because of the key situation. I would recommend this lock and purchase it again in the future.
