I had the note 9 and loved everything about it.So when you get 600 off the note 10 I thought it was a great time to upgrade. I like the phone overall but initially opening ther box the color is silver. It doesn't have all ther colors on like the picture unless light hits it. So that's the first dislike. Second no headphone Jack really sucks when you need to charge your phone and listen to music because I got ther ear buds and don't really line them so I'm using the headphones that came with the phone. Third battery life isn't what they say it is. My note 9 lasted for a very long time versus this phone. Fourth ther fingerprint scanner is absolutely horrible on the front screen. I absolutely hate the location of it. Im not a person of Change except when it comes to phones but this is to much change at once especially that it isn't in a good way. If I hadn't programmed the phone already I would exchange it out but it takes too much time resetting up the phone.
They took away the adaptive display setting and the result is a washed out display. No deep blacks no vivid colors even when set to vivid. My galaxy tab S4 running the same video side by side is a huge noticeable difference. My tab S4 is so so much better. This is with Video enhancement on and set to Vivid in the display setting, videos look washed out/ hazy as compared with my Note 9 and Tab S4. I am very very disappointed!!! I wished I would have kept my Note 9, it had a far superior display. I'm returning this for a note 9 or switching to the next pixel phone.
I just bought this less than 24 hours ago, to replace my Note 9 that I accidentally shattered and the screen started to die.
The screen is huge and I love how small the bezels are.
I love the in screen fingerprint scanner, it isn't as instant as the Note 9, But i may also not be fully use to it being in screen yet.
The cameras are INSANE, in a great way, the color and depth in the pictures look like i took them on a sand along camera.
It has so many features that i'm still trying to get use to, including the stylus gestures.
AND i love that the phone already comes with a screen protector on it, you can take it off to put your own on if you got one, But if you have a really good case, save that extra money and use the screen protector that comes on it.
Speed wise its about 2x faster than my note 9, and never bogs with performance and ic an have so many things open at once and it still powers through it.. Its a power house.
Samsung DeX is really awesome and didn't even know it was able to do it until i plugged the phone into the computer and it said to download it. Super convenience if i need to access files and edit them at a more quicker speed.
I do miss the headphone jack, But I can live without it.
Battery life is great, I'm on it More than i would like to admit, and it just keeps going. with heavy use from 8am-11pm I'm still at about 45% battery at the end of the day.
Charging, If you do not have a Samsung fast wireless charger for it,and use an off brand that doesn't have fast charging expect the charging time to be at least 3-4 hours.
No more Bixby button!! One thing i am so happy about!!
If you are planning on buying the Note 10+, look around, either way if you buy it outright its going to be expensive like i did, but there are deals where you get extras, I bought mine from Best Buy and it was just the phone.
This phone is a beast, it's the best phone on the market, period. There is much to learn about the phone which I love, will keep me interested for years to come. Great display, great features, great user experience all around.
I am very pleased and happy with the note 10 plus. Even though Samsung has opted out on the headphone jack the other new innovative features have made up for it. Looking forward to their next cool ideas that are to come next. Keep up the good work.
Phone seemed pretty solid at start up and for the first few days. After much more use I'm running into nothing but issues with it. The bluetooth technology doesn't connect to my car, which is a 2017. So I had to separately buy a bluetooth connector in a "newer" car. More than 80% of the time when I unlock the phone it won't swipe open forcing me to restart the entire phone to begin using it. It is impossible to scroll on the phone without inadvertently clicking and opening things from the over sensitivity of the side of the screen. I should've stayed with my S8+ which was much more reliable than this garbage phone.
If you have a Samsung Note 9 you may not want to upgrade to the Note 10+ for the following reasons:
1. 3.5mm headphone Jack was removed 2. Can no longer measure Heart Rate as sensor was removed 3. Can no longer measure your Oxygen saturation as O2 Sensor was removed. 4. Battery life is less than the Note 9 5. Extremely Costly especially considering the the lack of and/or removal of key features 5. Bixby is still an issue and cannot fully be removed
If the features above are not relevant to you and/or you are upgrading from any other phone then this phone may be a great choice. Excellent camera(s), Nice design, and overall good performance.
