Bose QC Earbuds - great sound but lack controls

I bought the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds on pre-release. I've had many Bose products, their customer service is outstanding, and product of high quality and great sound. These don't disappoint in the sound category, clear and ANC works well. The one major issue is lack of controls on the Earbuds to switch devices or change volume, for either you have to change on the device it's connected with to follow either action. Worse yet in order to switch devices you need to have access to both (eg disconnect from one and connect to the other). Sounds simple enough until you put the Earbuds in your ears only to discover they connected to your iPad which is in another room, the only way to switch from your iPad to your phone is to get the iPad disconnect from it and then open your phone and connect from it to the Earbuds. In other Bose headphones there has been a button or action you could switch using, or in the case of the QC 700 it connects to two devices simultaneously a feature they also lack. The last problem is the size of the charging case - while it fits in your pocket it is large enough that it isn't comfortable unless its the only thing in your pocket. I really want to love these Earbuds, they sound great, but the lack of switching or volume controls on the Earbuds is a major drawback.

It's a shame that you feel some features are missing, but your feedback is welcomed so that we can continuously develop our products in the future to meet our user's preferences. When it comes to switching devices, I can understand that you're used to our multipoint connected devices, however, it's not achievable with these earbuds. This is due to the signal path that takes place. As you may be aware, the right earbud acts as the primary and the left as the secondary. Audio is sent from your device to the right earbud and then onward to the left earbud. Therefore, the multipoint connection is used by the left earbud to maintain the flow. Additionally, when it comes to the process of switching devices, I hear you. We advise disconnecting from the previous device to avoid any errors with Bluetooth Low Energy. Some devices can latch on to BLE, so manually disconnecting will ensure that all Bluetooth profiles can connect to the next device smoothly.

I'll be happy to also note your comments regarding the size of the charging case, plus the volume controls, and pass this along to our development team!

Two different sets of earbuds, same problem with e

I was so excited to try out these Bose Quiet Comfort earbuds. Unfortunately, never really had much time to try them out before the left earbud stopped working. Received a replacement from Bose only to have the same issue crop up again. For the maybe 4 hours of total use I got out of both headsets the sound was great. Was still getting used to the fit.
Utilized all their troubleshooting steps online and with support on the phone and still could not correct the issue with the left earbud.
I have other Bose products that are just fantastic. I am so sorry they could not meet that same experience with these earbuds.
Send the 2nd pair back for a full refund.

Incredible Sound and Golden Silence

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I expected nothing less than Bose's usual high quality sound. But what truly caught me by surprise was the utter silence provided by the earbud's noise cancellation feature. It's truly a revelation to silence the ambient noise around me when I need to concentrate, or just relax. The fit of the earbud was also a pleasant surprise. I'm not keen on sticking things in my ear canal or wearing headphones. But the earbuds are so comfortable I often forget I'm wearing them until my wife tug's on my sleeve to get my attention and pull me back into the world the surrounds me. I'd rather be left to drift away to the dulcet tones of my earbuds, or meditative silence they afford me.

Loving ❤ these earbuds

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I own other earbuds, both premium-priced and bargain, and these blow all of them out of the water. The feel in the ear is good, they are easy to control with taps and swipes, and most of all the noise reduction is exceptional. I like that the level of noise reduction is adjustable so I can remain available to those who wish to get my attention, sirens, etc., and that when I put the reduction up to maximum level it blocks out pretty much everything. I'm always amazed when I remove the buds, or tap down the NR level, how much ambient noise they were blocking. Definitely recommend.
