We love this gazebo. My husband was able to put it together by himself, with only a little help from me to support the posts here and there while he was on the ladder. Our patio set has stayed dry, too. We can't wait for summer by the pool

I have build Gazebo's and other covers in my years from scratch. But never thought I would receive such a awesome product compared to what I could build. The instructions were very simple to read and assemble took us about 6 hours with 3 people including a couple of breaks for food and drinks. It came in 2 big boxes from Sunjoy through homedepot on a fedex truck and weighted around 600 pounds. Took me about an 45 minutes to unbox everything and move it to the backyard for install. All components were marked with letters and numbers as the instructions stated from start to finish. Once I got it in the backyard I organized the parts using the instructions which took about 30 minutes then started the assembly.I used (4) 16x16x4 cemet pads that i bolted to concrete that was already in the ground from an older cover removed years ago.The soft cedar wood was easy to screw the screws into using just a Phillips screwdriver , but of course to speed things up i used my low torque drill and this made things go much faster. Just remember when putting together do not over tighten the screws as the instructions states this because the wood is so soft you can strip the screws or crack the wood. You will also need 2 to 4 ladders I used (2) 6' and (2) 10' ladders. I used the 10' ladders to put on the very top of the roof, made it easy to reach the bolts to screw them down so I would not need to reach or put my weight on the roof. Also it came with extra bolts and nuts. when putting the roof together best to leave the bolts a little lose for any adjustments you might need to make and then go back and tighten them. This is all in the instructions as well. Like I stated at the beginning this is such an awesome Gazebo from Sunjoy and the workmanship Sunjoy put into it is outstanding. We look forward to spending many years under it grilling and relaxing once I finish leveling and adding the brick flooring. THANKS SUNJOY FOR MAKING SUCH A AWESOME PRODUCT

Can't wait for summer! With some help from the kids this gazebo went up pretty quickly. When spring arrives I need to pour a concrete slab to affix it to. However, in the interim, winter bonfires here we go!

This Sunjoy Archwood gazrbo is really well designed. This is not some cheap looking gazebo but a very modern looking and attractive one. All the components are precision made to fit together. The frame is made of cedar which resists termites. The metal top, framing and hardware are well coated for protection. It comes with rods for installing netting. The instructions are clear but must be read before attempting assembly. This is a two person job to put up but if you are handy you might be able to do it yourself, I did and though it took a bit longer but it went together perfectly. It was shipped in two well packaged boxes and there are many components which are clearly marked. The end result is well worth the work. I plan on putting a deck under it also.

They say a man's house is his castle and if he has this gazebo in his yard it is his Summer Palace. Such a regal and dignified structure, it looks a little out of place next to my pole barn workshop. The box arrived so I parked one of our cars in the driveway and stored it in my garage as it is rainy season here. The two boxes weigh 575 pounds. Two of us were able to load them into a pickup and drive it out back where it was assembled. There are two boxes, one is the wooden structural components and the other is hardware and the roof panels. Instructions recommend 4 people on the build. Not blessed with a lot of friends I needed to hire some help. I called a local homebuilder and as it turned out he was between jobs and available. The instructions indicated that all parts had labels on them. While the hardware and roof panels had obvious stickers with numbers on them I didn't see any labels on the wood components. I was concerned so I called the help line shown on the instructions. Someone there emailed me the dimensions on the wood. Afterward I looked closer and saw the "labels" were small numbers stamped on the endgrain of each piece of wood. Telling this may help someone else. The instructions show this being built on turf and some 8 inch by about 3/8 inch spikes being used to anchor it to the ground. I don't think that's a good idea. Remember those 8 inch spikes they will come up later. In fact there were supposed to be 8 bolts 10mm x 200mm that attach the legs to the top plate. They were nowhere to be found but there was an extra pack of the 8 spikes that go into the ground instead. Eight 1/2 inch by 8 inch bolts, and the required nuts, and washers were quickly bought at a local hardware, then the hole was drilled out to a half inch. This should be built on a deck or a slab. I told the builder I wanted to pour 4 concrete pads, 18 inches square to set the feet on. He talked me into a 11ft. x 13ft. slab. Now that it's done I can see he was correct and this was the better choice. Construction flowed along. Out of all the boards that make this up there was only one banana (curved board) in the bunch. Another spot had too much material removed on the end lap joint, picture included. We made it work. We spent one day pouring the slab, another day building the frame, and a third day was spent putting the roof on. The roof panels were very nice and being pieces of sheetmetal one would expect the edges to be sharp but they were all surprisingly smooth and a pleasure to handle and work with. There are curtain rods nicely permanently attached as part of the assembly This .SUNJOY ARCHWOOD 12 FT. X 10 FT. CEDAR FRAMED GAZEBO WITH STEEL HARDTOP is a product of great quality. It is sturdy and great looking. When I called the helpline I talked to Francis and he was very professional and polite. I like this gazebo so much I won't even take a star off for the missing bolts. Anyone can make a mistake. It is still a five star product. One thing that would be a help when building this would be a 10mm box ratchet. It comes with little wrenches and they came in handy in the tight spots and we used the drill driver in other spots but a 10 mm box ratchet would have helped. I look forward to enjoying this gazebo for many years. Now I have to find a proper throne to put in there.

Deal in a box! The quality is great. It has already snowed in WI, but I still get to enjoy the great outdoors under my now covered patio area. I added a firepit which works great with the 2-tiered roof (the ventilation is perfect). I looked at the assembly instructions prior to making the purchase and wondered a bit about the size of the project; it was totally OK. Within an hour I had the frame up and it took me a couple of more hours to complete it because I was admiring my work as I went along. No man cave needed anymore.

Solid wood nice quality posts& high quality metal roof panels. We will probably give them an extra stain soon. My husband was able to build it by himself for the most part - just needed a helper briefly to get the frame connected when standing upright.
