NOT YOUR CANON PRINTER "OF OLD".

Since the 1980's when I first started using a computer, my printer(s) were always Canon; none could compare no matter what the professional reviewers wrote. Often I would compare my Canon printed color photo or picture with someone else's non-Canon photo or picture, which was supposed to be "the best" color printer - and win - grudgingly. Usual excuse for the other printer was, "but mine prints faster"! Personally, I've always preferred quality to speed.
Now I've giving this TS9120 a failing score and to be clear, I am in the process of trying to find one with the Canon quality of old - great printing but NO problems. The problems with this printer are major to me.
I have many, many technical problems and machine failures with this one, even though the color quality is still excellent. But color quality is not as important - it seems - as the actual ability to print your project without paper jams, inability to "duplex print", or other error messages that have no relation to what I'm asking of my printer, and just general impediments to finishing the job easily.
The Canon ability to monitor my printer online doesn't seem to be beneficial, so this is my Review - and a complaint to Canon.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Amazing Device!!

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. This printer is really great and, not only easy to set up, but also easy to use. The directions that were included made set up a breeze. I loved that the printer came with ink cartridges, so I was able to start using it right away. Connection to wifi was also easy and the fact that I can print from my phone or laptop, without having to be physically connected to the printer, is wonderful. I have a room mate, who is also able to use the printer from her devices, without compromising my connections. The scanner and copier options of this printer are also easy and making life a little less complicated. Overall, this is by far one of my favorite printer/copier/scanner that I have used! I would definitely recommend this to friends, family and others.

Awesome at-home printer

I was provided with a free sample in exchange for an honest review. Set-up was pretty difficult, it took us a couple of days to get it going. Being electronic, it was relatively easy to use once we finally got it set up. I really liked the touchscreen interface. That was really interesting and very different from any other printer I have ever used. It works well with my smart phone which is kind of neat and very convenient. I was able to print out some documents directly from dropbox. I tried, however to print out some other items such as coloring pages that were listed on the electronic interface but struggled to get them printed out. I suspect this will take more trial and error to figure out. I kept getting error messages about the paper size but no further direction which was very frustrating. The printer should be a bit more user-friendly. The scanner worked well for me; I didn`t have any trouble with it. I also enjoyed the option of printing out photos. This was a pretty seamless process for me. The photos were good quality for a home printer. It is a nice looking printer end it doesn`t take up a lot of space. I really liked the color.I was provided with a free sample in exchange for an honest review

I received a free printer to review this product. Wow!! I love this printer! Setup was clear and easy, but time consuming. Read through each step in the manual to get the full benefits from this printer. It is very compact, unlike my previous printer. I take a lot of pictures, and being able to print from home with professional quality is amazing! It has WIFI capabilities, which means no more dangling wires. It easily connects to google cloud, and to other devices in my home for printing. One thing I'm worried about is the cost of ink, as it does use a lot of ink for each job. Other than that, so far so good!

I am hugely excited to be the owner of this high-quality color printer/scanner/copier/all-in-one machine. I received the product for free in exchange for an honest review, and although I may not have otherwise been in the market for such a machine, it has genuinely revitalized my enthusiasm for both photography and technology. I have been having a lot of fun exploring the printer's features and capabilities, with a focus thus far on printing a variety of personal photographs and downloaded hi-resolution art images to fill an assortment of long-empty frames that will soon be making my apartment walls look significantly better. This unit also made it simple and even pleasurable to scan in some photos I have of my grandmother when she was a baby -- a task I have been meaning to attend to for years now, and may have continued to put off were it not for the convenience the Pixma provided me. I am not an expert in color printers/scanners by any means, but the quality seems awesome and there are lots of convenient features including auto-on, an interactive touch screen, wireless connectivity, ability to control the unit from my computer or smartphone, ability to scan directly into Google Drive/Dropbox/etc, and access to a variety of free printables including coloring pages, sudoku puzzles, greeting cards, and more. The product is also visually attractive on my desk (I got it in red -- nice!) and fairly intuitive to use. Getting the product initially setup was a bit more time-consuming than I expected, but not at all difficult and worth my patience. At one point I did struggle to get the printer to automatically recognize when I was loading photo paper in the rear tray as opposed to non-photo paper in the cassette tray; I ended up printing a couple of photos from the cassette tray out of impatience, and they actually look pretty good aside from a some subtle horizontal lines going across the image in places. When I resolved the paper tray recognition problem (I had to manually change the presets on my computers print dialogue box from "Photo on Plain Paper" to "Photo on Photo Paper" -- duh?) the printed images looked flawless -- no lines, rich colors, and surprisingly fast. I am excited to experiment with printing on different types of papers, printing labels for my pantry jars, making custom cards for friends, scanning in my daughter's artwork, and not having to pay unnecessarily exorbitant shipping charges to online printing companies for just a few 5x7s. I would definitely recommend this printer to a friend and am looking forward to continuing to use it on the regular!

Great Printer

I received the free Prisma TS9 120 in exchange for an honest review:
It arrived well packaged and with no assembly required – that was the first bonus. The printer was easy to install and although the initial set up took some time, that is ok. The instructions were clear and if followed carefully, are self explanatory. I was pleasantly surprised that the package came with photo paper. We had just taken a family photo and where about to send it to an online site for printing. With discount that site wanted to charge $7.99 for one 8x10 photo. So my first test of the printer was the family photo. Holy smokes, it turned out perfect. Yes, I had to do a test run with regular paper first, actually two test runs before I figured out the trays and directions, but that was no big deal. I love the color and touch screen and am thrilled by the wi-fi feature. I have not tried to print from my phone but if it’s as easy as everything else, then I’m excited to try. Even though the printer is in a “closed” desk, I love seeing the red color every time I open the desk to work. I may not have sprung for the bells and whistles on my own but I’m glad to have them and now that I do, it may be hard to go back to an ordinary printer.
