That's now more than 20 years I buy Canon printer and it could be the last one. Two for my wife was bad and this one (the seventh) is working just randomly. Curently I am fighting to make it work....permanently. That's a shame a so good company lets its image going bad.

Waste of money

I bought this several months ago hoping for an affordable printer/scanner/copier for occasional home use. I have spent more hours than I care to admit trying to get this machine to perform the most basic of functions. At one point both my wife and my computer was connected to it now just my wife's computer can connect to the printer. Scanner is non barely functional.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This prints well. I do have an issue with it completing print jobs without being shut off. No solutions online, no answers from cannon that worked.
Also, I have never had a printer so hungry for ink. This may be a great value on th front side but the backside will run you for broke if you use it more than once in a while.

Canon may make good cameras, but their printers suck

This is a piece of garbage and has been since I bought it. The scanner has never worked, and the printer has only worked from time to time. Apparently the wifi that is sufficient to run my computer is not enough for the scanner and only on a good day for the printer. Now, even though the monitor shows I have plenty of ink, it is difficult even to see the colors on the nozzle check sheet, even after a deep clean. Just another piece of ewaste to follow the PRO-100 which was dead on arrival. Canon - stick to cameras, save us all the hassle.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER

I have used this printer for over 9 months now, and it is by far the worst printer I have ever owned. I have had a number of HP and Canon printers over the past 20 years, and this is absolutely the most user unfriendly printer EVER. It takes five times longer to print anything because of all the steps you have to go through. Nothing is simple and straight-forward. It switches trays by itself, you have to register what size paper you are using each time you try to use it and it is just a real pain! Run, do not walk away from anyone trying to sell you this printer. I'm really disappointed in Canon for putting something like this on the market. I am researching now preparing to buy another printer and will put this one in the garbage.

I have never had a problem with a printer before, but this is a heinous contraption. It frequently needs resetting, it often jams, and troubleshooting is a nightmare. The quality is the same as any standard printer. It's the least user-friendly interface I've found, and I'm in my twenties and frequently work with computers and photography. THIS SHOULDN'T BE THIS HARD. Buy literally anything else.

Worst printer ever owned

We have continual offline problems that are very difficult to resolve. Uses copious amounts of ink. It refuses to print when ink is showing low but not empty. Truly is a worthless machine. I’ll never waste money on a Canon printer again.

Great product

I read the reviews of this product before purchasing and found that some of the complaints for installation and operation were unfounded. I am glad that I purchased another Canon and I would recommend this product to others. The installation was not difficult. The quality of the photos that I have printed so far is stunning. The scanning feature worked flawlessly for some important communication I needed to do in a timely fashion.
I would recommend this to a friend!
