This printer was a bargain and provides excellent printing. However, there are several things I do not care for. The power saving feature turns off the printer after it hasn't been used awhile. This has resulted in having to reprint things because the printer was off. The print speed for a single page is fine but multiple page documents take awhile.

I bought this new printer when my old canon printer died of printer header failure. I do not do a lot of printing so this type of printer is best for me to do photo prints and docuemets. It is a compact printer very stylish for printers and very easy to set up in my wifi network.

I bought this printer mainly for its ability to print on CD/DVD discs. It does a nice job of printing on CD/DVDs and the paper printing is very clear and easy to read. Great printer for the price.

Ink cartridges leak

Every other ink cartridge that I install leaks. I've gotten ink on my printer table, carpet and all over me. If you enjoy becoming covered in printer ink, buy this printer. When it breaks I will not replace it with another Canon product.

This printer replaced my ip6600d aging printer. This TS9120 prints as well as the old Canon. The photos are exquisite and the text prints are crisp down to 8 points. I also appreciate all of the modern functions such as wireless connectivity and mobile printing. An additional benefit is the size and weight. If there is one downside, this printer appears to slightly use more ink in printing photos.

Run Away From This Printer

I had an older Pixma 700 for years, easy to use and a real workhorse. Cannon must have a lot of bored developers, this printer took the simple operation of printing and scanning and confused the heck out of the quick print menu, it is not intuitive at all. The printer switches from color to b&w on it's own and switches from the rear paper tray to the cassette paper tray paper tray on it's own.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
