Cheep Parts

I bought my power washer last fall and obviously didn't use it over the winter. When I used it this spring, the hose had a leak and the turbo washer worked once. I called customer service and was on the phone for 45minutes for a supervisor to say that they are wearoutable parts and they aren't covered. That I could buy their replacement parts. Stand behind your parts GW!

Hello Bunker69,

We're sorry about the issues you've experience with our wearable parts. For the turbo nozzles this is an issue that you can remedy by simply cleaning the tip. First soap the nozzle in a water vinegar solution to dissolve any calcium buildup. Then you want to take the nozzle/tip cleaner pin or a similar utensil (unfolded paper clip) and rinse the nozzle under water as you clean the out the hole with the pin. Even a small bit of debris may cause issues with the turbo nozzles and should be cleaned regularly. In terms of the hose this is a considered a wearable part and is not covered under warranty. This is not just a Greenworks practise this is industry standards. Our poly-flex hose that is included with this unit is made in the USA and designed for durability and reliability. However, proper handling and storage are still necessary. Please note if you purchase a new hose or nozzle direct from us it will come with a 1-year warranty which is above industry standards:

The high pressure fitting cracked the first time using.

This was bought in the fall. Got it out to use this spring and it would start and when the trigger was pulled it would shut off, almost like it had to much pressure. It would take a couple of minutes before it would start again. After about 10 mins the high pressure fitting cracked by the soap attachment fitting.

Light Duty Only

1) Homeowner use only; not for industrial tasks. Not recommended for more rugged homeowner tasks such as removing debris, sand or pea gravel from sidewalks, driveways or roadway...unless you have lots of time.
2) You must bleed all air from the garden hose BEFORE connecting it to the machine, or the motor will repeatedly fault out. This step was neglected from the instructions. You can't simply "hold the trigger open for 30 seconds" per the instructions; "30 seconds" applies only to the gun line.
3) The Trigger-Delay-Startup is a strong negative. Pressure Washing is a start-stop-start-stop-over-and-over process. The 3-5 delay in starting - each time you pull the trigger - is very aggravating over the course of a multi-hour job.
4) Gun holster does not work well. The Gun repeatedly falls out, easily.

A bit too much pressure washer for a small print shop
on June 14, 2022

A pressure washer is a staple piece of equipment in any screenprinting shop, so this is a printshop-specific review (because that's what I'm using it for).
I wanted something a bit more powerful than the standard, portable, 1500psi pressure washers that are on the market, and this definitely fits the bill. It's super powerful, and makes washing out exposed screens, and reclaiming old screens a breeze.
The only major drawbacks are space and noise. If you have some extra room in your washout area, it won't be a problem, but if you have a tight space, stick with a smaller, portable option (this is about 3-4 times the size). The motor runs continuously when it's turned on, which can get irritating if you're waiting a couple minutes for screens to burn. It also has a release valve, so if you let it idle for a couple minutes, it'll start spitting water on your floor.
I think it would be ideal for a larger volume printshop that has a dedicated pressure washer for reclaiming screens. Overall, it's a great washer, but if you have a smaller shop, you probably don't need much more than a small, portable model. I've only had it a few weeks, but I'm curious to see how long it holds up. Most of the portable ones I've had over the years burn out after a year or so.

Hello Sad sack,

We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing an issue with your pressure washer. Unfortunately, your review is not detailed enough for us to know what the issue is, but we will try to cover all bases. Here you will find some troubleshooting suggestions for you to try.

Cleaning Obstructed Nozzles: To clean the nozzles, soak all your nozzles in a half and half mixture of warm water and white vinegar. Soak all the nozzles for about an hour and then proceed to poke your nozzle cleaning tool or paper clip through the end of the nozzle hole to poke out any debris. After you have done this, rinse them with warm water. Your nozzles will now be free of any obstructions causing the unit to malfunction.

Removing Air from The Line / Bleeding Out the Unit: Purge any excess air from the pump. Set up the unit as per usual and ensure you are not using an extension cord. Remove any nozzle that may be connected at the end of the wand. Make sure that you have a green light on the GFCI on the power cord. Turn your garden hose on but leave the pressure washer turned OFF. With the pressure washer turned off, squeeze on the trigger for about 3 minutes – allowing the water to run through the unit at no pressure. In doing so, you are bleeding the unit out of any air that may be stuck in the pump. After 3 minutes, turn the unit on. If it is running, reinstall one of your clean nozzles and continue using the unit.

Lastly, ensure that the water source is fully opened and is at least 60PSI. There should be 10' of unrestricted garden hose between the hose connection and the unit, any kinks will prevent the flow of water going into the unit and prevent proper pressure.

Please note this product has a 3-year warranty from the date of purchase. If you have tried these steps and are still experiencing issues, please contact Greenworks at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS).

Used this one time last year. Went to use it this year and the hose going from the pump to the hose reel broke off at the pressure "round" fitting. I found out that the unit is no longer made and parts are not available.
Pros: Convenient, Easy to Use
