Fine, it's the best freakin hair dryer I have ever owned. I have never been able to blow dry my hair before work in the morning. It always remained damp. Now I can wash and blow dry all in the morning. Not only that, with the smoothing nozzle, I am able to decrease the amount of frizz I used to have. It also never burns or overheats my hair. As I said, I wanted to hate this dryer and send it back, but now I can't imagine going anywhere without it!
After years of drying my curly hair with my Dyson fan, I'm finally able to dry my hair conveniently and more efficiently. Curly hair doesn't like high heat so the feature to maintain cool air without having to hold down a button. I've been telling my friends and family they need to get one!
I was hesitant to spend more than double what most hair dryers cost but I am so glad I did. I own a Dyson vacuum and hoped the dryer would live up to the same high quality and standards. I have thick wavy hair and am very happy with the smoothing nozzle. I am also thankful for a shorter dry time. You can count on the Dyson!
My husband teases me about the amount of hair I shed every day. He asked me why my "all that Dyson hair dryer" didn't come with an attachment to vacuum up all my hair! Not a bad idea. I'm happy to discuss patent matters with you.
Pricey but, by far, the best hair dryer I have ever owned. It is so powerful I can dry my thick hair in minutes. It is also lightweight so that's another plus. I have recommended it to many people...hope they take me up on it because they won't be sorry.
I knew this was going to be a good blow dryer, it is after all Dyson. I knew it would move more air than my current hair dryer. And I knew it was going to be expensive! But I didn't know that I would like this so much and that it would be so much better than any hair dryer I've ever used. It's all the little things that add up. More powerful, but adjustable. The on switch is recessed so you don't accidentally turn it off (..this feature drove me nuts). The temperature is adjustable and consistent. The lower settings don't eventually get as hot as the higher settings. The higher settings aren't so hot that it frys your hair but it's definitely hot enough to curl the hair with a round brush. The weight distribution is more ergonomic and that sounds like hogwash but after just one use, you'll see the light! The sound is quieter. The attachments don't get hot to the touch so adjusting their angles while styling isn't something worthy of hazard pay. The volume of air is straight up impressive on the highest setting. The cord is 9ft. All of these considerations and engineering marvels add up to create the best hairdryer ever made! I don't even use my flat iron anymore. It's that good.
But is it worth the cost?! A thousand times yes! Every.single.penny!
I am a long term Dyson customer. Right now, we have 5 different vacuum models in our home. I was thrilled when I saw they were coming out with a hairdryer.
I've been searching for a lighter dryer due to a permanent hand injury & this fit the bill.
The temperature settings take some getting used to. My hair is double processed color & the highest temperature was damaging to my hair. I use it on the medium heat setting, with medium air flow.
Besides taking some time to find the right settings for my hair, my only other complaint is the loop enclosed to hang it. It's cheaply made and doesn't hold up.
