Helped my hair!

The reason I decided to go ahead with this expensive purchase was because my hair has become very dry and brittle. It's breaking off faster than it can grow. I was hoping the type of air from this dryer would be less drying - and I have not been disappointed. My hair seems to be breaking off about half as much as before while I'm blow drying and it's much softer and smoother now. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Supersonic hair dryer

I have thin hair and with previous hair dryers my hair after drying did not have the fullness I want. With the Dyson it is FULL after drying. LOVE LOVE the Supersonic hair dry.

Beautiful but...

It's a beautiful piece of technology. The build quality is superb, it is quiet, powerful - but super heavy and awkward. The cord is industrial weight, with a cell phone sized transformer and then the plug itself. Kind of like having a "ball and chain" attached to the dryer. I am torn between giving it 5 stars because it is so nice and 2 or 3 because it is really not practical because of its weight and massive quality. The dryer needs to be rethought - it is built like a vacuum with its heaviness and bulk. It needs to be sleek and lightweight like sports car, not built like a military tank. A winner prototype: now Dyson must make it the same quality and strength with lighter weight materials and smaller electronics to make it half the weight it currently is.

I'm absolutely in love with my dyson hair dryer! Cut my drying time down to 4 minutes from 15-20 minutes. I have very long and thick hair, it leaves my hair looking healthy with a little shine and great bounce. I can't wait to cut off the damaged hair from my old dryer. No more over heating and frying my hair! Thank you Dyson for making another great product!

Easy to Use

The Supersonic was a Christmas gift so I've only used it a few times, but I love it! I have arthritis in both hands so traditional top-heavy dryers are often difficult for me to hold and maneuver long enough to dry my hair. The Supersonic, with the motor in the handle, is comfortable to grasp, easily moved with my somewhat limited range of motion and balanced so well that I can dry my shoulder-length hair without stopping to change hands or rest. I also love the magnetic attachments because they are easy to put on, take off and rotate as needed. First time I haven't simply thrown out a dryer's attachments!

I haven't had a new hair dryer in a long time. The Dyson quickly dried my hair (better than my old one.) Glad I bought it !
