I loved this hair dryer but as soon as the warranty was up it quit on me so I will not be getting another one. For the price it should last longer than two and a half years.

I've been saving for quite a while to be able to buy the dryer. I am thrilled with it. It is faster than any dryer I have ever had. The temperature is perfect. It is actually fun to use!
Pros: Normal, Thick, Wavy

Works for 2-3 secs then turns off

I bought this hair dryer as a birthday gift for my wife. When we tried it for the first time It stopped working after a couple of seconds. Tested out different outlets, checked the cord, filter etc., turns off after a couple of seconds. Have to return it back, so as support said will get a new one in 3-7 days. Not what I expected for such money

My husband bought this for me as an early birthday gift. I am always complaining about how long it takes to dry my hair. The salon will even have two people drying it at one time if they (or I ) am in a hurry because it takes a single person a good 30 minutes with a normal hair dryer. Thankfully that is no longer the case! Thank you Dyson! Thank you! Thank you Thank you! With this tech wonder I am done in about 8 minutes. Completely dry! No friz! Straight! No flat iron required! Ready to walk out the door! Did I say thank you! It really works! Once through with a round brush and done! Thank you!

Simply the best hair dryer on the market

Amazing hair dryer. Was hesitant at first because of the cost, but this dryer is worth every penny. Magnetic attachments!! Easy to clean filter. Never burns your hair or scalp. No burnt hair smell. No burnt dust smell from a clogged filter. My hair is very fine and thinning so I want to take good care of it. No frizzy burnt ends like some hair dryers produce. Dries the hair but doesn't dry it out! Just a brilliant invention. Told my stylist about this dryer and am taking it for her to use on my hair my next appointment.

What's with the cord?

I bought the unit and have been using it since November 2017. The cord on this superb appliance is long (about 81 inches), with a transformer about 12 inches from the GFI plug. It is thicker than the cord on my Dyson heater. The cord is bulky, unwieldy and cumbersome, difficult to stow, and makes a really superb hairdryer less than pleasant to use. It came with a nice travel kit, but the bulk and weight of the cord make this not a user friendly take along appliance. I have five other Dyson products and this is the first I've been disappointed with. Wonder if they could shorten the cord if I sent it back to them? Only because of his would I not recommend it to a friend.

I’m a licensed cosmetologist so I deal with all different types of hair daily... fine hair, coarse hair, thick hair, thin hair.. you name it. For this product to be held on such a high pedistool and for how much it retails it was quite a disappointment when I put it to the test. It’s no faster than any other hair dryer I’ve used. The only good thing about it is how quiet it is.

I really like the product, even with the weight in the handle it’s easy to use and the magnetic attachments are so much easier that the norm. I would like some advice though as my hair has always been on the dryer side and rarely would it ever get greasy at the root but since starting using it my hair has become greasier, there’s been no other change and I wondered if it maybe to do with the heat setting I should be using or power?
