You will never look back!

The Supersonic is by far the best hairdryer I have ever used. As a hairdresser who dries hair all day long, it has been life changing for me. Thank you to everyone at Dyson!

Not worth the investment

I bought in June 2018, I was super excited to have this at the salon, sadly I was not overwhelmed with the experience. The handle is a little to bulky, my dryer randomly turns on while not in use or when I pick it up for use it turns on then turns of before I even hit the on button and will shut down after a minute and I have to turn it on and back off and wait a bit before it will start. It has turned off on me multiple times while in use. Do not recommend.
Pros: Coarse, Frizzy, Thick, Wavy
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy on the arms and hands

I’m a hairstylist. My “good” hair dryer died on me in the middle of a client’s blow dry leaving the client with halfway wet hair. I decided to splurge on the Dyson because I absolutely love my Dyson vacuum. So far, I love the way it performs and really appreciate the ease of use because it is so lightweight. Always clean the filter to keep it running smoothly. And I LOVE the magnetic attachments which NEVER fall off like traditional ones.

Love it so much I bought 2. one for work and one for me at home. Of course the newer upgraded version is for work. The magnetics are much better, and the longer cord too.

First let me explain what needs improvement then what we like.
NEEDS IMPROVEMENT:
A. When processing long hair keratin treatments the dryer always over heats so the dryers is not dependable for this type of treatment for professional use.
B. Drying curly texture hair this dryer does not meet the challenges for speed and results, a comb attachment is needed, and most likely if it's long texture thick hair the dryer will over heat and shut down.
C. Negative and positive ion options would be a plus if this dryer had it. Makes a huge difference.
Positive :
A. The new longer cord was a must and a plus the other version to short my opinion dryer was never tested in real world use. But we like the longer cord.
B. Stronger magnet good could be a little stronger for the one that holds the dryer to the stand.
C. Our salon years ago wanted to become an all Dyson salon and retailer in s.f. and after numerous emails nothing happened and deal was made with salon centric, what better referral than a professional stylist.
D. My wife and friends think you are a genius I agree :)

I loved it when I first got it, I’ve washed the filter ever week, but it shuts off randomly in the middle of the blow dry.

I have 4 Dyson blow dryers. Two pros and 2 regulars. I use the Dyson v8 instead of a broom and dustpan for the salon. I’ve had one small little issue with one of the dryers. The company handled it extremely fast!! The 12 ft cord on the pro is must if you are a professional and I love the pro nozzle. Powerful, quiet, and smart. What more could you ask for!!
