Makes high pitch noise

Makes high pitch noise that hurt my ears. On/off button does not go all the way up, it stops in the middle of slot - it is assembly + quality control problem. Shape of handle is uncomfortable. Also constantly trying to avoid blocking airflow while Im holding it. Cord is kind of heavy but i guess it’s necessary for the powerful performance.
Could be good but I have to return this one. Maybe in a few years they come up with a better design.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I can confirm the noise level on this dryer is comparable to other models, at 77 dBa. We're also sorry to hear that you found the dryer handle uncomfortable to hold. The Dyson Supersonic hair dryer is engineered for balance in the hand. It is also the only manufactured hair dryer with the motor in the handle. With the center of mass being close to the handle, it is less arduous when maneuvering the hair dryer from side-to-side as it is not top heavy.

No Static!

I love this dryer! Expensive, but great quality. I have fine, thin hair and it does not create static like some other dryers do. I use low heat, low air flow and it works great.

The Curls!!!!

I wish I had of bought this hairdryer long ago. I have naturally curly hair and since I started using the Dyson Super Sonic I had been asked several times who done my perm. When I tell them it’s natural and how much I love my new Dyson they just can’t believe it. I have never had my curly hair dry and fix so fast without frizz. This is by far the best hairdryer I’ve ever used and the only one I will ever use again!!

I bought it recently, have timed myself drying my abundant curly hair straight. It is just wonderful. I wish I had had it for years. Drying it curly was fast and easy with the attachment provided. My hand/wrist is not as tired.
