Definitely a massive upgrade from my previous hair dryer! I like the variable settings, the ergonomics, and the different attachments. However I do find even the lowest fan speed to be way too high for diffusing my wavy hair without frizz, so that was disappointing. Also there’s also a faint high pitched ringing when it’s on which I don’t love.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I was so reluctant and skeptical of buying a pricey blow dryer. I found a sale and I bought it because a few weeks before I went to the hair salon and I did a smoothing treatment for my frizzy hair. When I saw how well my hair looked and how was the Dyson dried my hair, I felt in loved. Let me tell you that the Flyaway attachment is the greatest invention! If you care about your hair, you have a lot of hair, frizz and need something that can be easy to use to style your hair and keep the frizz at bay, get this thing!

I expected a lot more for the price tag. Hair seems frizzy and the dryer is somewhat heavier than I expected. It does not have specialized features like other ones on the market and the case/design is bulky and takes up a lot of space. A stand or smaller box for the attachments would be a nice touch given the price tag.

I purchased this dryer after visiting my sister who had one. I have never really liked blow drying my hair so initially I wasn't all the excited to try it out, but once I did... Well, now I have one of my own and use it daily. It dries my hair quickly and I like the assortment of attachments. It seems to be quieter than my previous hair dryer and my hair looks very nice after using it.
The reason for 4 stars is that is has turned itself off a few times after a moment of being on. It's not tripping the circuit breaker on the cord or in my wall so I'm not sure what's going on there, but it has only happened a few times.

My wife and I first tried this hairdryer in our hotel in Paris and were "blown away" by its performance — it dries our hair rapidly and without frizz and other damage we had experienced with other dryers. It is very well balanced so it is comfortable to use. the numerous heat and speed settings allow both of us to enjoy using it despite the differences in our hair type and how we like to dry our hair. The numerous attachments are nice, but we really only use one. The storage case that was included provides an efficient and esthetic means to store the dryer and attachments. It is relatively quiet compared to other dryers we have used over the years.

I won my Dyson Supersonic hair dryer professional edition from the " New year, New Look" Sweepstakes! I love my new semi quiet, lightweight and futuristic Dyson so much! The design is phenomenal with easy to use buttons, which you can select the amount of heat, air and q cool breeze button with an extra long cord, that in my opinion, outperforms any other dryer. The attachments work just as described. One of my favorite parts of being in the Dyson family is that the app shows you how to use each attachment and how to achieve the perfect hair style! I was very impressed with how quickly my hair dried. I will cherish my Dyson for as long as possible and would love to try many other Dyson products. I definitely recommend, if you have thick,coarse and long hair or just frustrated with how long your hair dryer takes. The Dyson Supersonic hair dryer works so much better than most. I still cannot believe how fast and gorgeous my hair looks after only a few minutes of use. Most days I use 3 of the attachments. My favorite is the attachment for flyaways.
