Hello Carrie, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to hear that in your use, you found that the Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryer wasn't getting hot enough to dry or style your hair to your liking. The Supersonic offers intelligent heat control, allowing you to dry your hair without the damage of high heat. The dryer offers 4 heat settings, allowing you to adjust the temperature between 82°F in constant cold mode, and up to 212°F, for fast drying and styling.

While everyone is different, we certainly wouldn't expect hair to become fried or frizzy as a result of using Dyson Supersonic. The Dyson Supersonic hair dryer will feature intelligent heat control, which means it will monitor and control the temperature at all times. This helps prevent extreme heat damage and protects hair's natural shine. It also will feature negative ions to help prevent hair from becoming frizzy. One quick tip I would recommend, as outlined in our Dyson Supersonic support videos, will be using the dryer directly against your hair with a low speed/heat setting (to start with) using either your hand, a paddle brush or roll brush to control the movement of your hair. When the dryer is held away from your head the dryer reads the temperature of the room and not your hair, this also causes your hair to blow all around which can lead to damage and tangles. Please also note that each heat and airflow setting is designed to provide varying outcomes depending on the style you have in mind for any particular drying session.
