Only hair dryer to dry my hair fast!

I have super thick long curly hair. It normally took me over a half an hour to completely dry it when styling it straight or at least fifteen minutes to diffuse. This hairdryer has cut that time in half! Probably more than that! I timed it this AM and it took me 3 minutes to diffuse it! A few days ago it took only 12 minutes to dry it using the comb attachment. Simply amazing!

I have been looking at Dyson for years and I finally decided that for my 50th birthday I can buy me (in payments) this hairdryer. I have long fine hair and at this point I rather not use the Dyson hairdryer because it tangles my hair to the point where it gets knots and i have a hard time untangle it without braking my hair. I’m brushing my hair wet in the shower while the conditioner is still on, I rinse it, towel dry it, add Moroccan Oil before blow drying it and I brush it while I blow dry it and it still get extremely tangled. I have never had this issue with any blow dryers before.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. Thank you for your review. The technology behind Dyson Supersonic is quite revolutionary and it is not like anything you might be used to. It can take some time to get used to the different settings, features and attachments Dyson supersonic provides during your drying session, not to mention your normal way or habit of drying your hair with traditional hair dryers.
While everyone is different, we certainly wouldn't expect hair to become tangled as a result of using Dyson Supersonic. The Dyson Supersonic hair dryer will feature intelligent heat control, which means it will monitor and control the temperature at all times. This helps prevent extreme heat damage and protects hair's natural shine. It also will feature negative ions to help prevent hair from becoming frizzy. One quick tip I would recommend, as outlined in our Dyson Supersonic support videos, will be using the dryer directly against your hair with a low speed/heat setting (to start with) using either your hand, a paddle brush or roll brush to control the movement of your hair. When the dryer is held away from your head the dryer reads the temperature of the room and not your hair, this also causes your hair to blow all around which can lead to damage and tangles. Please also note that each heat and airflow setting is designed to provide varying outcomes depending on the style you have in mind for any particular drying session.

I love this hairdryer!! I have thick hair that takes forever to dry so usually I let my hair air dry. Well my friend got one of these from her husband for Christmas and she was raving about it which got me interested so I finally bought one. Omg! It dried my hair in less than 15 minutes- amazing since I have enough hair for at least 3 ladies (hair is layered and shoulder Length) — I actually used to dread drying or styling my hair but now I look forward to using my Dyson. The diffuser is awesome too! Love it! So glad I treated myself to a quality hairdryer that dries in half the time and my hair doesn’t look like straw! Whoo hoo

I have thick hair so even after having my wet hair in a towel for 15 minutes to absorb the wetness it still took me about 25 minutes to dry UNTIL I bought the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer. Now it's between 6 and 10 minutes max! What a time saver. Plus it leaves my hair silky and shiny for days.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It was a big decision for me to spend this much for a blow dryer. My husband encouraged me saying you deserve great tools too! I’m 65 with shoulder length hair and know how to operate a blow dryer. No matter what combo of velocity or heat I used I wound up with very frizzy hair. Plus it did not dry my hair any faster. Sad to say I returned it.
I would recommend this to a friend!
