What Am I Doing Wrong?

Born with naturally curly hair, a challenge in itself, my greying hair is now more unruly than ever. I stopped coloring and straightening my hair to improve it's condition. I tried various curly hair styling methods but frizz wins out, always. I have dried my hair 4 times using the Dyson and here are the results: dry straight hair with too much body. A flat iron might help, but that previously damaged my hair. It would be great if Dyson included more instructional videos, especially for dry, coarse, stubborn curly hair.

As someone with naturally curly hair, I completely relate to the struggles you have had with styling, and having the end result turn out frizzy. I can also certainly understand and appreciate you have been drying your hair for years. However, you might appreciate that the technology behind Dyson Supersonic is quite revolutionary and it is not like anything you might be used to. It can take some time to get used to the different settings, features and attachments Dyson supersonic provides during your drying session, not to mention your normal way or habit of drying your hair with traditional hair dryers.
The Dyson Supersonic hair dryer will feature intelligent heat control, which means it will monitor and control the temperature at all times. This helps prevent extreme heat damage and protects hair's natural shine. It also will feature negative ions to help prevent hair from becoming frizzy. One quick tip I would recommend, as outlined in our Dyson Supersonic support videos, will be using the dryer directly against your hair with a low speed/heat setting (to start with) using either your hand, a paddle brush or roll brush to control the movement of your hair. When the dryer is held away from your head the dryer reads the temperature of the room and not your hair, this also causes your hair to blow all around which can lead to damage and tangles. Please also note that each heat and airflow setting is designed to provide varying outcomes depending on the style you have in mind for any particular drying session.

Very loud, didn’t smoothen the hair, accessories are metal and uncomfortable. Overall not worth the money at all

A great purchase!

I bought this for my girlfriend and she just loves it. It's not as loud as her old blow dryer and this one dries a lot faster. She loves the carrying case that came with it and all of its accessories.
