Best hair dryer I’ve ever had. It dries my hair and half the time. I’ve also noticed that my hair comes out more smooth than my other dryer.

FINALLY - MY FLAT BABY FINE HAIR HAS VOLUME!

My hairdresser uses a Dyson Supersonic hair dryer at her salon when she dries and styles my hair. I always leave looking fab. Decided it may be the Dyson. I purchased Dyson Supersonic hair dryer and it doubles the volumize of my baby fine hair. Now I can get a professional look at home!

Been debating whether or not to buy this..so glad I did. It not only dries your hair quickly but leaves your hair shiny. Very pleased with this dryer..but then it's a Dyson!

This was a bad experience. After using it 4 days in a row, it turned my very healthy hair into straw and a frizzy mess, especially the baby hairs of the forehead and face hairline. There is much breakage and dryness that when I went for my regular haircut my hair stylist wanted to know what happened and is recommending I get a keratin treatment to help with the frizz.
Since I am one that does not like to use any product on my hair, this is a huge disappointment. With that being said the cold shot did leave the thicker parts of my hair shinier, but also limp and lifeless with no bounce, screaming for nourishment.
I bought this hairdryer not for its effects, but because I blow dry everyday and I wanted a dryer that was quieter and one that would protect my ears. The hair dryer is quieter, but not significantly and probably does not protect your ears. I found the dryer to be very heavy. It has an extremely thick vacuum like cord along with a weighted rectangular box that is part of the cord and needs to be dragged around from place to place as you use it, which is not practical. In addition the cold shot button has to be pressed down continuously to use it. I did not notice any difference in drying time. As far as the price, it is just too much for a metal tube that blows hot and cold air.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

While everyone is different, we certainly wouldn't expect hair to become fried or frizzy, or feel like straw as a result of using Dyson Supersonic. The Dyson Supersonic hair dryer will feature intelligent heat control, which means it will monitor and control the temperature at all times. This helps prevent extreme heat damage and protects hair's natural shine. It also will feature negative ions to help prevent hair from becoming frizzy. One quick tip I would recommend, as outlined in our Dyson Supersonic support videos, will be using the dryer directly against your hair with a low speed/heat setting (to start with) using either your hand, a paddle brush or roll brush to control the movement of your hair. When the dryer is held away from your head the dryer reads the temperature of the room and not your hair, this also causes your hair to blow all around which can lead to damage and tangles. Please also note that each heat and airflow setting is designed to provide varying outcomes depending on the style you have in mind for any particular drying session.
Regarding the box that's along the cord, this box is called the DC/AC regulator, it regulates the power the machine uses from the plug. This is not your target hairdryer! It took a little getting used to but I highly recommend it for everyone. I purchased these for my 3 daughters with long hair they LOVE it. I have short hair and was a little reticent to get myself one as I have short hair, GAME CHANGER!! It is fabulous. Took a little getting used to but not bad and is absolutely fabulous. Use 2nd setting and the wider nozzle absolutely fabulous!!! Can't say enough good things about it.
