The hair dryer that gives you time back!

AMAZING hair dryer! I have extremely thick hair. I have historically spent a MINIMUM of 30-40 minutes just drying my hair in three sections, followed up by a straightener to get my hair smooth and straight. With the Dyson hair dryer, my hair is NOW DONE IN 10 MINUTES - dry, straight and smooth! And with a whole lot LESS HEAT! I knew I would be amazed based on feedback from friends/coworkers who already purchased the hair dryer, but my expectations have been exceeded! Happy customer over here!

The best ever!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is very expensive but I timed my blowdry my thick medium length hair and it was 4 min from damp to bone dry. The velocity is amazing and it will blow you away! I just use the directional attachment and a brush to dry in sections. The fly away attachment works but I think it is if you want it to flip up and not turn under. I have to use it more, but it works as well.

Shiny, frizz free curls

I bought this a few weeks ago and every time I’ve used it, it has taken me less than half the time of my old dryer to dry my curls. It only takes me 10 minutes now! My hair has been noticeably shinier and less frizzy. The flyaway attachment is great for day 2-5 curls since you can use it to just tuck away the frizz. I love it

absolutely disappointed

It stoped working. and at least 2 of my close friends had THE SAME problem. It works only for 5 min and than stops. I always clean the filter and follow the instruction. I used it for 1 year only and now it's not even on warranty anymore. I also have to drive for 1.5 h in order to have someone to take a look at it. even though i like the hairdryer itself i WOLDN'T recommend it because it breaks so often.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not what I hoped for

My hairdresser used a Dyson dryer for years and enticed me to buy one because she loved it so much. The heavy-duty cord weighs as much as the dryer itself and is very cumbersome to manage. And with the placement of the air filter in the handle I find myself frequently blocking it with my hand. Terrible design! The controls are tiny and awkwardly located. I’m hoping I’ll get accustomed to it and find it a pleasure to use, but now is not the case. I had no doubt it would be worth the money, couldn’t wait to get it, and am terribly disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'm happy to inform you that the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer is engineered for balance in the hand. It is also the only manufactured hair dryer with the motor in the handle. With the center of mass being close to the handle, it is less arduous when maneuvering the hair dryer from side-to-side as it is not top heavy.
We do recommend that during use, you do hold your hand higher up on the handle, so as to not cover the filter vent. This can cause your dryer to overheat, and shut off during use. This is to help prevent your motor from overheating, and causing permanent damage to your dryer.
