This hair dryer is the best dryer I have ever owned. It dries my hair much faster than any other one on the market. It leaves my hair soft. The only down side is it gets tangled when using but that’s to be expected from the amount of power this hair dryer has.
I would recommend this to a friend!

In November, I stopped by the local Hair Cuttery because I couldn’t get an appointment with my regular stylist. While there, the stylist pulled out the Dyson hair dryer. I was blown away! It was powerful and much quieter than the normal blow dryer. I thought to myself that my wife had to have this. My wife has very thick, coarse hair. It often looks damaged because of the heat she has to apply to it to get it tamed. So, I purchased the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer for her for Christmas. She had never heard of it and looked surprised that this was her big gift for Christmas. But after one use, her hair was more relaxed, softer, shiny, and no no frizz. She couldn’t believe the results! She was so excited! AND, It took her less time too! Later that afternoon, she told her 3 sisters that had to get this miracle machine.
If you want a happy wife and happy life, get the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer.

Brittle feeling hair after use.

I am a hairdresser and I just received the Dyson Supersonic for Christmas. After using on myself twice I noticed both times my hair feeling very dry and brittle. It’s not smooth, shiny or soft feeling the way it does with my other dryers. My daughter just used it for the first time without me mentioning how it left my hair feeling and her words were exactly the same. We are both very disappointed in the results of this super expensive blow dryer. To say I’m disappointed is the understatement of the year. It is quiet, light weight and dries quickly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. Thank you for your review. While everyone is different, we certainly wouldn't expect hair to feel dry or brittle, after using Dyson Supersonic. There are a few different things you can do to change the method in which you dry your hair. To begin with the unit is designed with a type of thermal control which means it will monitor and control the temperature at all times. When the dryer is held away from your head the dryer reads the temperature of the room and not your hair; this also causes your hair to blow all around which can lead to damage and tangles. In light of this, it may be necessary to use the dryer directly against your hair with a low speed/heat setting (to start with) using either your hand, a paddle brush or roll brush to control the movement of your hair. When applying these tips to your everyday styling you should start to see a difference in the texture of your hair.

Best thing ever

I love my dryer. I was hesitant to buy it because of how pricey it is, but I decided to purchase it anyway. I have no regrets. I love the fact that it comes with three heat settings as well as speed settings. The dryer is super light, pretty quiet in my opinion and I love the attachments. I love my dryer so much my co worker ended up buying one for his girlfriend from Christmas because I constantly talked about it. This purchase was totally worth it.

Love the Flyaway attachment

I have used Dyson Vacuums for almost 20 years and will continue. This is my first hair dryer purchase and it was worth every penny. I have long straight thick hair. When I blow dry my hair it just gets very fluffy and seems frizzy. I would typically have to use a flat iron to get it smooth, which I feel is terrible for your hair. The flyaway attachment is so easy to use and smooths my hair down and makes it look like it's been flat ironed! I was so shocked it worked so well. I got compliments on my hair, which rarely happens. It is a very hot hair dryer so if you hold it too close to your head for too long, it will feel like it will burn you. So it's nice to have the heat/temp adjustment. Also on the full strength air setting it feels like it is almost painful if it goes into the ear. Even my son said ouch. It's just very powerful, so be careful around those ears! Also, I love the hairbrush that came with it. I'm not sure what the difference is in it compared to others, but I feel it also helps to smooth out my hair! Love Dyson products.
