Most Amazeballs hairdryer EVER!

I have super thick hair that takes FOREVER to dry. Usually by the time I am done I am sweating and need a shower! This hairdryer dries my hair all the way to my scalp in about 3 minutes! It’s also soft when I am done!! I have no idea how a hairdryer can make your hair soft, but it does! I also love the attachment for the fly aways… I am over 40 and those gray hairs have a mind of their own. I was like yeah right… this attachment isn’t going to do anything. I was freaking REALLY wrong! It’s crazy! This was my favorite Christmas gift from this year!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have really thick hair and really want to love this dryer for years I wanted it but for the price I couldn’t justify buying it… I got it finally and I’m not as impressed with it… sadly my hair gets tangled more while drying and the dry time I would say is about the same as others… I do love how light weight it is! But it is loud also….hopefully it will grow on me..
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Layla, this is Kelly with Dyson. I'm sorry to hear that you've found the Supersonic™ hair dryer is leaving your hair tangled. There are a few different things you can do to change the method in which you dry your hair. To begin with the unit is designed with a type of thermal control which means it will monitor and control the temperature at all times. When the dryer is held away from your head the dryer reads the temperature of the room and not your hair; this also causes your hair to blow all around which can lead to damage and tangles. In light of this, it may be necessary to use the dryer directly against your hair with a low speed/heat setting (to start with) using either your hand, a paddle brush or roll brush to control the movement of your hair. When applying these tips to your everyday styling you should start to see a difference in the texture of your hair.

Unreliable

I bought this dryer a month ago and every time I've used it, it shuts off. I removed the filter and swapped it for a clean one, still flashes the lights and doesn't turn on. Not sure if it overheats, doesn't get airflow or if it's just a faulty part. I was hesitant to purchase this dryer due to the price and other reviews stating similar problems, so hopefully the replacement won't do the same thing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. I was so sorry to see from your review that you've had issues with your Professional edition Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryer shutting off during use. That's definitely unusual, and we would not expect the dryer to shut itself off, without engaging the power button. I can confirm that if the hand is held covering the vent at the bottom of the handle, this can cause your machine to overheat, and it would shut off to protect the motor from damage.

The GOAT

I have been watching the price on this ever since it hit the market and I could never justify spending that much for a hair dryer. Ridiculous! My son saw me eyeing it online one day and bought it for me for Christmas. Truly is the Greatest Of All Time of hair dryers. I have only been using it for a short time and my hair feels so much better—not dried out. I have “unpigmented” hair and have been wanting to grow it longer but need to dry it to get it under control. With a regular dryer it would feel brittle. Using this dryer I will be able to grow it as long as I want and dry it quickly and efficiently without damaging it. My hair feels like soft, supple hair, and it is so shiny! The fly-away attachment is like a miracle. I honestly wish I had bought it myself years ago. But better late than never. And the Prussian blue and copper—exquisite.

I got this for Christmas and it has cut my drying time almost in half. I have long thick hair that takes forever to dry and this has been a definite game changer for me.

My wife suffers from having wet hair at night and doesn't sleep until it's dry as I imagine most women do. I bought her this as a gift to replace her Con-air and the reviews are weren't kidding. This hair dryer dries way more efficient and definitely feels like it causes less damage to the hair plus you get the added versatility of all the add-ons. Of course, me being a male with short hair can't vouch for the flyover attachment I must say I've been using the diffuser and it performs great but my wife has cut her drying time nearly in half so that's a win.

This blow dryer has changed my outlook on my curly hair. Always struggled with frizz using other blow dryers and the diffuser it came with. This Dyson blow dryer though - WOOOOW!

I received the Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer as a Xmas gift. I didn't want to like it but i love it. I have gotten so many compliments on my hair since using it. Takes less time to style my hair. Love the attachments and can't believe how lightweight.
