not 100% satisfied yet - maybe after more use

I recently purchased this Dyson hair dryer with attachments and I have now used it for a few weeks. So far it feels like it is drying my hair a little too much too quickly even on the medium-low settings. My hair feels more brittle on the ends after using. I will keep trying it out and see how the next few weeks go. Right now it is not a product I "Love" especially for the huge price I paid.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We would not expect to hear that your hair is feeling brittle or dry after using your Supersonic. There are a few different things you can do to change the method in which you dry your hair. To begin with the unit is designed with a type of thermal control which means it will monitor and control the temperature at all times. When the dryer is held away from your head the dryer reads the temperature of the room and not your hair; this also causes your hair to blow all around which can lead to damage and tangles. In light of this, it may be necessary to use the dryer directly against your hair with a low speed/heat setting (to start with) using either your hand, a paddle brush or roll brush to control the movement of your hair. When applying these tips to your everyday styling you should start to see a difference in the texture of your hair.

So far, I do think (as others have noted) that my hair feels dryer, at least at first. But I've been using the hair defrizzing attachment, and that works like a charm. I think this also shortens the time for drying my hair.

Best ever hairdryer

I’ve found this to be my favorite hairdryer of all brands I’ve used. My hair drys faster & with a much lower heat temp setting than any other brand I’ve used. It has a much superior air volume. It’s a good weight and handle is correct diameter to hold & manipulate easily. I’ve got very fine color treated hair which has a tendency to get a bit frizzy with too much heat. This hairdryer has nearly eliminated my flyaways due to needing less time & heat to dry my hair. I highly recommend this profict. It’s worth the cost.

Amazing!

My Dyson was given to me as a gift, and initially I fought him on how much he spent...until I turned it on. Didn't even have to use it to know badas$$ it is. It is heavy, but balanced so nicely. I have carpal tunnel, and normally drying my hair starts to hurt. I have long, very thick, naturally curly hair. Sometimes I diffuse, but often blow it out straight with a round brush. No wrist pain with the Dyson, and I don't need to flatiron after my hair is dry. My hair gets THAT straight and shiny with just this dryer and my same round brush I've had for years.

Worthwhile investment

Until recently, I never had to dry my hair because it was thick, strong and self-styled. Now, it has thinned a bit and it needs help staying down. I found it awkward to style my hair with a regular hairdryer, so I bought the Dyson. What a marvel. It made my life so easy. It holds well in my hand. The attachments simplify the process and I am done in less than 10minutes. Once again, Mr. Dyson has it the mark.

Wow wow wow the best hair dryer hands down only took me 10 mins to dry my daughter's hair. Now I don't dread wash day anymore. Love love love
