Didn’t last long

I had the Dyson hair dryer for 2 year and 5 months. It was well taken care of and maintained and then quit working. When I called to try to get a replacement or repair I was told it was out of warranty and there was nothing they could do. Wouldn’t buy it if I were you. Not a good investment.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought this hair dryer less than a month ago. I have to admit I was skeptical. But... my hair dries fast even on the cooler heat settings. With my old dryer I would have to use the highest heat setting and it would burn my scalp. I wash and dry my hair every day so it is a nice to be able to back off on the heat. My hair is shiny and it feels great. I was originally looking for a dryer with a "gentle" fan setting which doesn't exist, but the diffuser on this is awesome. I really like the other attachments as well. It came with a nice case and I love the color (not that the color has anything to do with the performance). My hair is layered, shoulder length, colored, with natural wave. Not curly by any stretch of the imagination. I would definitely recommend this dryer.

Game changer

I have a really frizzy hair and normally any blow dryer even with a diffuser. I end up with frizz not curls. This thing is phenomenal dries my hair in minutes straight out of the shower and my curls are fabulous. I wish I bought it sooner.

No replacement parts after 2 years

I bought it less than 3 years suddenly the hair dryer stopped working and no spare parts Dyson said no repairs no spare parts
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best blow dryer ever for my curly hair

I have very curly hair type 3b that I blow out. This blow dryer makes it smooth and dry within 10 minutes. My hair is mid back. Granted I still have to use a flat iron after but it takes much less time to totally smooth it out. My hair is soft, smooth and doesn’t smell burned or feel crunchy. I finally after 40 years of doing my hair have found my holy grail. My hairdresser used it on me first and that’s when I was first hooked.

Wish I hadn't waited so long

I had been going back and forth on whether to buy this for some time. For a man with long hair - I just thought it was excessive in the price arena. NOPE - this thing is amazing! Not only does it dry my hair fast at a lower temp than my old hair dryer but the friz attachment really, really does take care of the friz. Styling my hair is as easy as a breeze! I wish I hadn't waited so long to get this!
