Perfect carry-on suitcase

Lots of interior space due to 2 wheels rather than 4 wheels. Two interior zippered pockets for small items. Three exterior pockets, including large pocket for laptop. Wardrobe pocket large enough for two shirts and slacks. Pocket on edge for power cell. Study handle and smooth wheels. The best carry-on I've ever owned!

overall nice but cannot figure out how to use the suiter properly

I've had good experience with a 28" TravelPro suitcase for checked baggage for about 20+ years and it is FINALLY showing minor wear after all these years: side handle fell off, zipper tab broke off and corner bracing poking out (still works though). So with that track record I decided to invest in a 22" Platinum Rollerboard to replace the Tumi I had that only lasted 10 years (wheel fell off). So far it's been good. I still can't figure out how the suiter works--I wish there was a good video. Mine doesn't have the front panels with middle zipper like the short video on this website. Unlike the suiter in my old suitcase, it is fully detachable but it is very difficult to stuff the folded corners back into the compartment to zip it back up.

Great piece of luggage

Very nice piece. However, first thing I did was take out the weird double bag things inside. Just took up space with no real use. Zippers are really sturdy. Material is heavy duty but the case is still light

Smooth Operator

I really like the layout and organization of this roller bag. I choose a roller bag for its durability and ability to traverse uneven surfaces. The construction is next-level and I’m expecting to be the last carryon bag I’ll ever need. My last one (costa) lasted 10 years when the wheels disintegrated. My only gripe is the intrusion of the wheels wells and handle take inside the bag. But I LOVE the smooth rolling polyurethane wheels and the handle is stronger that any other bag I’ve experienced. Also, the color selection is appreciated and I choose brown so as to be more easily identifiable in a sea of black. And it matches my car interior!

Great suitcase!

I just returned from a 3-week trip with this suitcase and a backpack as carry-on luggage to Europe. Two of our hotels did not have an elevator and this suitcase was light enough for me to carry up 3 and 4 flights of stairs, with the backpack. (I'm 64 yrs. young). I was able to pack a lot of clothes, shoes, and toiletries in this. 2 long jackets, 1 pair of dress pants, 5 dress tops in the garment section. 7 tops, 1 sweater, 2 scarves, 2 pairs of jeans, 10 pairs of socks & underwear, 2 bras, 1 pair of ankle boots, flip flops, a toiletry bag, a travel hair dryer, and a large round brush in the other section. (All of this is just in the suitcase). All of the tops and jackets were very lightweight and thin material. The garment folding system worked well for me in this bag also, with very few wrinkles. The bag had to be checked when flying from countries inside the EU but not when traveling to the EU or back to the USA from the EU. If I could have the same room in this bag as you get with 4 wheels and still carry it on, I would have opted for 4 wheels, but I did not have any problems with the 2 wheels. Plus the 2 wheels worked great on the cobblestone streets. I did not use the expandable option with this as I wanted to make sure I could fit it in the overhead, which I had no problem doing. I am so glad I did my research and purchased the Platinum Elite Carry-on Rollaboard. It worked out better than I expected.

I have an older model

I have an older model myself maybe 15 years now and it is still in great shape and love the way my dressy clothes and blouses come out of the bag looking great.I bought this new one for my husband. It’s still top quality but actually prefer my older model style because it can pack a little more. But I think the Travelpro is still this best on the market at a very good price.
