I bought this Rollaboard because

I bought this Rollaboard because I have a similar one I bought nearly 40 years ago, and it is still going strong. This new one works very well and there are some improvements like the compression strap system and extra pockets. The three things I see need improvement are the front pocket zippers stick a bit, the lighter weight handle assembly takes up more room than the older unit, and the wardrobe on my older unit was easier to use. It is still a great product.

style and materials are nice.

style and materials are nice. I thought it came with four wheels instead of two, like my numerous other TravelPro Platinum Elites. . . Huge mistake, it is much more work to lug around an airport. I will likely return. I don't recommend this one (two spinners) but we love our many other one's with four spinners. We are hard on them but they last about two years or so.

I wish Travelpro would have
on April 18, 2026

I wish Travelpro would have consulted me on the design and build of this bag before they made any changes.
I appreciate the external and internal appearance of the bag though it "feels" smaller as compared to my previous Travelpro bag of the same make and model.
Construction feels solid during my early use. Hopefully it will hold up as well as my previous bag which lasted 10 years.
As compared to my previous Travelpro bag, they made one of the outside zipper pockets into two smaller pockets, limiting how these pockets can be used.
The layout garment section does not fold well if you have more than one suit as it appears they have decreased the depth of the garment section.
Travelpro moved the internal straps holding clothing, etc. in place from a horizontal position on the bag to vertical which may not be a big deal for some but this makes it more cumbersome for me to pull anything out of the bag without completely unzipping the main compartment.
Lastly, the new bag has a tendency to tip over when I have a second bag strung across the telescoping handle. This was not a problem with my previous bag.

Excellent Carry-on!

I bought this for my son’s 40th birthday. He travels a great deal for work and needed an upgrade to his old carry-on. It is very good-looking in grey and he is very pleased with it.

Well built product . . . took it on my first trip last week, and it performed well. The true test will be how it's holding up 10 years from now, and I have high hopes.

Amazing suitcase but no explanation
on December 30, 2025

Love this suitcase already! I think the features of the suitcase should be better explained; maybe include a diagram of the suitcase with details about the different features. This could replace several of the tags as well, if the explanations make the information on the tags redundant. This could also cut costs for the company, as you could include a single sheet of lower-quality paper instead of several higher-quality informational tags. The only downsides to this suggestion are that a team would have to spend time designing a comprehensive diagram, and the paper might make the company look cheap. Just food for thought.

Zippers not great
on December 20, 2025
Posted by: Carrie T.
This is my second Travelpro piece. While this one is reasonably well-designed and easy to pack, the zippers to not seem well constructed and it's difficult to zip this, especially around the corners of the luggage. I have the same issue with my other Travelpro luggage. I probably will
not purchase this brand in the future.
