Nice looking luggage but Unpleasant strong odor!

I liked the design and features of Travelpro Platinum Elite 25” expandable luggage. The reason I gave 3 stars and returned the luggage is that the material had a very strong irritating chemical odor inside and outside.
I tried airing the luggage out to see if odor dissipated but it did not. Strong odors cause me to get headaches and nauseous. I could not pack my clothes in this piece and have my clothing smell too.

Just like my former sturdy and trusted check-size, this purchase will be with me forever, of course unless the airline baggage vehicle (or whatever it was) runs over the bag crushing the frame and handle.

The luggage is fantastic regarding the construction, attention to detail, hardware, size, and pockets. My only gripe is with the color - Bordeaux. The luggage piece wasn't as dark a red as I had hoped.

Suitcase may be even better than advertised. It's roomy, has several compartments, and rolls really well. We may swap out our old Hartmann for a new TravelPro
