I was sure I'd want this new addition to my Vitamix collection from the time I first received notice of it; and I was right.
I've always enjoyed hot chocolate; but, I'm not fond of all the unhealthy ingredients in commercial powders or what I would have to do in order for it to taste the way I wanted.
When I received my Aer disc container, I jumped right in to tweaking the hot chocolate recipe with the ingredients I had available, and I've already made my own signature hot chocolate :-)
I'm also fond of lattes and I've made a few of those.
I haven't had a chance to do much of anything else with it yet;but, it has its place in my kitchen and will be well loved and often used.

I have the creations 2 vitamix, when the recipe says run on 6 minutes high does that mean the dial at high or both the dial at high and my switch on high also?

Reaching for Aerdisk as often as the blender!

When I splurged on the Aerdisk, I wasn’t expecting to use it so often. The Aerdisk is genius! It manages to make the best Hollondaise, hot cocoa (the chocolate chips maintain a slight bite yet the drink is like velvet!) and muddles fresh ingredients perfectly in both sald dressings and cocktails.

I've used it to whip and muddle several times so far (only had it ~2 months), and the Aer performed both actions beautifully! Because I haven't yet used it for the other functions, I'm only comfortable giving it 4 stars. I believe it will prove effective there, too, but without knowing for sure, I wouldn't want to overstate its abilities.

I bought it to replace the traditional container because I thought it work to make smoothies. Reviewing the characteristics is not clear if it works or not for these kinds of products. To expensive to make sauces.

The Aer™ Disc Container has a disc, not a blade. Liquid ingredients are pulled through small holes in the spinning disc, aerating and emulsifying them, while firmer ingredients like ice, fruit, and herbs are agitated but not puréed. I saw the Aer Disc demo video from Vitamix and loved the different ways it could be used. I have used mine to make tomato soup with little bits of tomato, hot chocolate with whipped cream, and a couple sauces so far; and I am looking forward to using it many other ways.
