Such a cool product. I'm not a bartender at all but have been able to make the best margaritas and mojitos with this. Great party trick to show off as well. There's a small recipe book that accompanied the purchase, and I'd love access to more recipes.
I love the brand and every single product (5200, tamper holder, stainless steel jar, dry grains container, personal cup adapter) I’ve purchased from them over the past decade…except the Aer jar.
The Aer jar is horribly disappointing. I’ve tried Vitamix’s own recipes (lemonade, cocktails) without modification as well as some (hollandaise with earth balance dairy free butter; hot whip with barista oat milk) and everything has been a fail. Milk didn’t really foam, hollandaise didn’t emulsify, lemonade was SO bitter with the lemons disintegrating despite following the filling order, time, and speed instructions exactly…cocktails were okay but I can make them and emulsified things like mayo and hollandaise in my regular container…so the Aer jar is a pricey redundancy.
Pros: Texture Quality, Durability, Easy to use, Versatility

Hi, we are sorry to hear that you are not enjoying this product. Please know if you change the recipe to a dairy free butter, you may also need to add ingredients like a pinch of xanthan gum to help emulsify and thicken the sauce. Always feel free to adapt recipes to you liking, such as more sugar for the lemonade. Making foams will work best with skim milk however you can create foam with non-dairy milks by blending a bit longer.
I have been using my aer disc for just under 2 years. Recently I have been finding bits and rings of black rubbery plastic in my drinks. I am disgusted and concerned I may have been ingesting this stuff for who knows how long. I searched online and found others have reported this too. Apparently it is a known issue with these aer discs. I wish I would have received some warning before finding it in my beverage.
