DRINKS GUYS!
Freshly brewed coffee, half & half, few teaspoons sugar, 1oz irish whisky per final product serving, on high in this thing for a minute plus, pour into clear mug, you'd never know it wasn't made by a barista.
Whipped cream in masse! Pour in heavy cream, set to 4, go, watch it and make sure the waterfall in the center is falling back onto the disc and it'll make 100% of it into whipped cream WAY faster than any stand mixer.
Mix anything on the rocks without arm cramps!
Beware mayo! The vitamix might be too fast for any olive oil use so pick another oil or the bitterness creeps in.
Mayo is a breeze to make, and is something I previously found to be a chore. It comes out perfect every time. I really wanted to make coffee drinks in it, but I can only use nondairy milk and it doesn't foam up anywhere near the same as when I make my spouse a drink with 1%. I'm looking forward to muddled fruit water now that strawberries are in season.
I read several reviews about this product, I was very excited about it, it really works great for frothing and making drinks, however one of the main reasons I bought it was to make hollandaise and mayo, so the amount of eggs required in both scenarios is absolutely absurd, the only way I can use this machine for either recipe is if I'm cooking for 10+ people. I wish they could advertise or indicate this caveat, since it only makes sense if you are going to make a huge batch. I also tried to make mayo 2-3 times with the Vitamix recipe and all the times I ended with a very runny mixture that tasted terrible.
