Fairly good for normal usage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This HP 4255e printer is overall a good printer for average use for per se a student or general office printing. I enjoy have compact it is and easy to install everything from the ink to the software on my computer. It is not the fastest printer but it prints in a decent amount of time. You can only print 25 pages at a time at most but generally for students and/or regular use I don’t think I’d exceed that. I love that it has the option to scan by a light scanner and by scanning through a feeder. The biggest benefit is being able to print directly from your phone anywhere you are. No need to set a reminder or forget to print something simply because you’re not home. This printer does come with three months of free ink and the same program also monitors your ink levels for you so you never have to worry about running out of ink. To note, I would not recommend this for businesses or anyone who prints a lot. This particular model is definitely for those use a printer on occasion not for 100’s of prints a day.
The only con I have is that there is currently a software issue on printing PDF files. This is a disadvantage because most documents are PDF. Even documents directly soured from HP site are PDF and can’t be printed with my printer. It is a known issue and has yet to be given an ETA on when it’ll be resolved. It’s an extra step to correctly convert the document and make sure it prints correctly.

The printing quality is great whether in color or black. Easy to set up and install cartridges. Also printer is not too loud. Great upgrade to our old printer for sure! Highly recommend!!!!

Mediocrity At It's Finest

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Set up and wireless connection were simple and smooth. This printer fulfills most everything thing that the manufacturer claims. However, the manufacturer steers clear of the "ink consumption" topic and here is why: it sucks. I mean, literally it sucks the ink cartridges dry as if it were drinking through a straw. I printed 10 full pages photos on the NEW cartridges that came with the printer, the printer then enabled a "print block" due to low ink. My old HP 3050 was even more ink efficient than this. I did not recommend unless you plan to only print a couple of documents and or photos each month. I am not overly impressed with the picture quality, either.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Perfect Print = every time

I love that I’m able to print from my phone and I am utilizing the feature that sends me free ink for three months! I am very thankful for this Printer Because my old one was not nearly as reliable. Perfect print… every time!

Great printer for college students!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a college student, this HP printer has been a lifesaver! Setting it up with the HP Smart app was super easy to print from my phone. Its compact and stylish design fits perfectly in my dorm room. I love the sharp and vibrant print quality, and it runs quietly, so it doesn’t disturb my studying. I also appreciate the scanning capability feature! I can easily digitize notes and documents, which is super helpful for keeping my work organized. The small paper tray is manageable for my needs. Overall, it’s perfect for my student life!

Overall good printer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would say this printer is a little more difficult to figure out than others I’ve used. So far I’ve used it to print standard documents and invitations. I’ve used it to print wedding and party invitations and it did a good job. It’s easy to switch paper size back and forth with different paper sizes. It can print on different cardstock thickness. The print is not as sharp as a professional printer but good for what I needed it for. The buttons on the dashboard are not very easy to figure out. I use the app for all my functions as it is easier. Sometimes it stops a photo print halfway, haven’t been able to figure out why. Overall it’s a good printer that I’ll continue to use.

Amazing machine

The simplicity of the setup, the walk through on the features and the ease of connecting the printer to not only my home network but also my cell phone was the easiest I've ever used. I love the hp paper and ink subscription. I think that will save me time and money! How many times have you run low on ink without expecting it to drive to the store and find out they don't have your ink? It's happened to me many times. The paper they have is also top notch. The printer fits well on my desk and the controls are very user friendly. The app is incredibly easy to use. Definitely recommend 10/10!
