A Powerful but Niche Monitor

As someone who works in tech, I split my time between project management tasks, design reviews, and unwinding with some high-paced gaming in the evenings, and this monitor hits a lot of those marks well.
Out of the box, the build quality feels solid and premium. The visual clarity is top-tier,
colors are sharp, brightness is impressive, and the high refresh rate makes a real difference when I’m switching between dashboards, CAD-style tools, and gaming. I mainly use it for productivity during the day, and it’s more than capable of handling multiple tabs, project software, and design files without any noticeable lag or ghosting.

In the evenings, I fire up a few FPS titles, and this monitor really shines. The motion clarity and responsiveness are on point. It gives a noticeable edge when tracking fast movement, and the fluid visuals make gameplay more immersive.
The only downside, and the reason I docked one star is the 3D software. It's a cool concept, but it's not quite there yet. The installation and setup were a bit awkward, and while it has potential, the user experience just isn't polished. It feels like a beta feature rather than something production-ready. That said, I’m hopeful for future software updates.
Overall, I’d recommend this monitor for anyone who wants a high-performance screen for both work and play, especially if you’re into tech and like experimenting with cutting-edge features. Just be aware that the 3D aspect is still evolving. For me, it’s been a solid upgrade and fits well into both my productivity and gaming setups.

Stunning 3D image, strong future potential

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The G90XF delivers almost everything I could’ve hoped for in a 3D monitor. It excels at both work and play, delivering a sharp and vibrant 4K picture. The 3D mode is incredible, with convincing depth, excellent brightness, and no flickering. The experience feels completely natural and "just works", even while I’m wearing prescription eyeglasses or if I move my head around. The monitor automatically adjusts to keep the 3D image looking perfect.
Gaming on the G90XF is a joy, with 3D layers and pop-out effects making every moment highly immersive. I just wish there were more 3D-enabled games to play. With just twelve supported titles at the moment, there isn’t much to choose from. I’m hopeful that Samsung and game developers add more soon, or at least announce some upcoming titles.
The G90XF also supports 3D video playback with real-time conversion from 2D. The AI-based processing is surprisingly effective, adding meaningful depth to videos without creating an unnatural look. I was a little disappointed, however to learn that the conversion doesn’t work on DRM-protected content, such as the shows and movies from paid streaming services.
The G90XF has a couple other traits worth mentioning. First, it can’t display 3D content from anything other than a PC. That’s a shame, as I have a 3D disc player and a shelf full of movies that I would’ve loved to watch on this monitor. Second, the screen is very glossy, which can produce distracting reflections in a bright room or near windows. It’s not deal-breaking but something to keep in mind.
Overall, I’m thrilled with the visual performance and build quality of the G90XF. However, I’m giving the monitor a four-star rating due to its limited selection of 3D-compatible games, along with its inability to view 3D movies from a standalone disc player.

3D for the Masses?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was super eager to test Samsung’s newest technology, the 2025 Odyssey 3D G90XF 4K 165Hz Gaming Monitor. First things first, this technology sounded super cool. I’ve always been a fan of 3D since the early 2000s. I used to watch all the popular movies in 3D format. Having the ability to view content without glasses intrigued me, so I thought why not take the plunge.
In order to experience the full capabilities of the 3D monitor, I had to make sure my gaming PC met the specific criteria. Fortunate for me, my gaming PC meets all the expectations, so I was ready for the experience.
Since this tech is new, I didn’t have high expectations. I can say the 3D effects work and it works really well. I let other family members test the 3D capability out and they all love it. This is one of the reasons I wanted this monitor. Since it’s a glasses-free experience, you don’t need other accessories to enjoy.
Overall, I really like this monitor. The brightness, IPS panel, the 3D capabilities, and the speakers all function well. I think Samsung has created an awesome monitor for a niche market. If Samsung wants to bring this tech to the masses, it will need to get more games and think about adding some additional features if there is an next iteration to make up for the cost of ownership.

Amazing Glass Free 3d

It's a really great 4k monitor and the glassfree 3d is amazing. The only downside to it is the price, need rtx 3080 and up, game compatibility and software as of writing this review. There are only 14 games available right now, but you can force other games to play in 3d if it use Unreal Engine but not all games with Unreal engine works. The reality hub don't have the feature to select and play non compatible 3d games but i got the game called (The Quarry) to work and other misc games by selecting one of the game titles like dragonball and choosing the game path exe. file to the games that you want to play. Other game that don't use Unreal Engine doesn't work like Snowdrop, Unity ect.. and I hope the Reality Hub software will get better compatibility in the future. I recommend you wait until this monitor gets cheaper with better game compatibility. If you have money lying on the floor now and want the best tech than get it ASAP.

3D Software is very bad

I got this and I was very disappointed to find only a small handful of select games even worked with the 3D feature. I was even more disappointed when I couldn't get any of those select games to work in 3D. The monitor is alright but since the 3D didn't work for me and my PC was more than capable of handling it, its just not worth it. I want to love this and I'll buy it again if they ever fix the software and make at least 50 big name title games work with the software. Even better if they just make the AI convert all games to 3D though. Here's hoping they can make this monitor the future, cause right now, they have a lot of work to do to make this thing worth the money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Stepping into gaming monitors with the 27-inch Samsung Odyssey G51C has been a blast! The picture is vibrant and sharp – a huge upgrade. Gameplay feels so smooth thanks to the high refresh rate. The curved screen really pulls you in!
A couple of things to note: viewing angles aren't the widest, and you might see a little black smearing in dark, fast scenes.
But overall? For a first gaming monitor, the Odyssey G5 is fantastic value. It makes games look and feel incredible. Highly recommend! Get ready for a much better gaming experience!

Awesome to use without glasses and...

I have an idea for this monitor to be even greater, what about if it could use the full 4k resolution in 3D as an extra feature with 3d glasses as an EXTRA accessory, instead of viewing 2k per eye in 3D without glasses, or at least to add support for existing tech ir emitter and 3d glasses in the market as an extra feature!!.
