Amazing tech but hoping for more game support

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The tech is amazing and incredibly impressive - movies look great as well. My biggest hope is that they open-source the 3D effect to allow other games like Rocket League to take advantage of the effects. Also, hopefully we'll see an OLED version in the future :)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second purchase of the odyssey g90xf. One overseas and one for the mainland. This monitor is amazing. This new technology is the wave of the future and hopefully will be the definitive gaming and movie experience as we head into the future. Now we just need this technology on larger screens and tv's. Thank you samsung. Looking forward to the consistently improving hub software with updates!
Easy setup, easy 2d to 3d transition when going full screen. Amazing picture quality and a solid design.

Great convenient 3D

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Long time 3D Vision user here, some of you may remember me. I give this monitor nearly full marks for excellent 3D. I put it roughly comparable to the old PG278QR in terms of 3D, with different trade-offs. Here, the trade-off is to have a bit of visual 'grain' to the image in 3D. It makes reading text just a bit hard. It's not super distracting, but it's noticeable and bad enough that I dock one star. On the PG278QR, the trade-off is dimmer image and wearing glasses.
I give it 4 stars for the actual hardware. It's fun to use, the 3D is excellent when gaming, and I'm enjoying the simplicity of glasses free.
Samsung's software gets 0 stars, it's completely broken when using an AMD card, which their marketing says works. Doing a SBS conversion does not work at all, it just crashes. I don't care about the missing 3D auto-conversion, I'm only ever going to play HelixMod or UEVR fixed games. But I'd like to be able to see phereo.com SBS photos.
Their HUB is OK for what it is, and hopefully gets fleshed out with more games. Overall the HUB is not particularly good, the list of games is pathetic, and even the ones that are 'fixed' don't actually work. For example GTA San Andreas has broken shadows. Just use HelixMod or UEVR. It might get there some day, but never buy anything for a possible future than may never arrive.
It's a bit pricey of course, but we are sort of used to that as 3D enthusiasts. On sale, I think it's worthy. The monitor stand is annoyingly bad for a monitor at this price level. Wobbly.

Amazing 3D, with a few caveats

Overall, the 3D looks really really good, and it just pops.
There's some minor caveats, with objects which are too close and also on the side of the screen. So the middle of the screen works perfectly fine, but side of the screen for very very close objects can only have one eye address that part of the image, making my eyes unfocused when that happens.
Additionally, the HUD in Stellar Blade in particular looks off (and also like the interact symbols when talking to people), maybe cause it's not 3D or something, causing it to jut back in comparison to the actual images. Maybe it would be fixed if this was done in 3D? Not sure if it's a hardware or software limitation. The aiming marker when shooting is also kind of weird which makes the gun portions much harder.
Finally, maybe some development of eye tracking (currently using face tracking) may be interesting since some background is very blurred when focusing on close objects (karakuri ending screen), but not sure if that would cause too much flickering or something.
Overall though pretty revolutionary tech.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 3D effect is extremely cool and really does add another level of immersion. Samsung has been adding new games regularly though at the time the library is not the biggest. However, you can play many many more not directly supported games in 3D through community efforts. Downsides are the performance overhead, the resolution split between two eyes playing in 3d and some ghosting with light objects on dark backgrounds. But these all come with the technology.
Overall if you have the wallet, and beefy setup to take advantage of this hardware I really recommend trying this monitor. It makes me never want to play a "flat" game again.
