The unit runs very quietly on the 2nd setting, and only hear the fan on the top speed. easy to empty the buckler although I would like a larger capacity since I do not have it draining through the hose. I empty the bucket by removing it when full.
I bought this a month ago for my basement which has multiple rooms. It is maintaining the humidity in all rooms with just doors open & draining well. My only suggestion for improvement is a longer hose. Would recommend!
Not living up to its expectations. Bought this as a replacement for my 8 year old dehumidifier. Poor design with the intake on the back. Even with it 18 inches off the wall it does not circulate the air efficiently and it's hard to turn around because the pump hose comes off the back. Can't even reduce the humidity 10% were my old one had no problem reducing it over 20%. Even the built in Humidity Meter is off. When it reads 40% my independant meter reads 50%
I have been very pleased with this de-humidifier. The main reason for selecting this model was the overall capacity and that it has a pump so i do not need to empty the bin 2 x a day. My only gripe is that the unit will not restart the pump automatically after power failure. It will restart the unit but not the pump. you must enable the pump.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] on June 3, 2026 I purchased a Waykar 80 Pint Dehumidifier for my basement to maintain the proper relative humidity to protect my guitars.
The unit is compact in size, quiet, and does a great job in removing humidity from the room.
It is now June 30th and I am very satisfied with the product. 5 stars!
