Great for cooler environments

Works great for my finished basement about 800 sq ft with 3 open spaces. Had a problem with other models not working well in cooler environments but the Waykar CTH150PA has done a great job.

I purchased this a few weeks ago and it looks little compared to my last one, however it works amazing! The bucket is a lot smaller so it fills quicker, but it's not as heavy for me to carry. It works perfectly and I am very happy with my purchase.

Bought one of these 2y ago and it does a great job on 1700 sq ft; just got another one for a damp utility area that is not air conditioned, and it keeps that area dry and got rid of the musty smell. The unit is small but powerful and not too noisy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have been a bit disappointed with my waykar 80 pint dehumidifier. There doesn’t seem to be much rhyme or reason as to when it turns on and off. For instance, if I have my humidity setting at 55 it can show 60 and not be on - it could also show 50 and still be running. I haven’t been able to figure out why it turns on when. I also wish I would have ordered a bigger size. It seems the size I ordered is unable to cover the square footage as advertised. If you are between sizes, I would definitely recommend that you order the size of.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

How it works:
If your humidity is set to 55%, the compressor may stop when the room reaches around 55% and restart when humidity rises to about 60%. This operating range helps prevent frequent cycling, reduces wear on the compressor, and improves the unit's long-term reliability.
For stronger dehumidification, we recommend setting the target humidity 10–15% lower than your current room humidity. For example, if the room is around 60%, try setting the unit to 45–50%.
We also appreciate your feedback about coverage. Choosing the right capacity is important, especially for larger spaces, and your comments will help other customers make a more informed decision.

Good Product

I bought this dehumidifier in March of 2026 and it worked great. Pulled plenty of water out of the air and never had any issues with the pump. However, after 4 months of use I received an error stating there was refrigerant leakage, but Waykar is replacing the unit under warranty. Hopefully the new unit lasts a bit longer. The extended warranty should add some piece of mind to shoppers.
