Keeps Basement dry

Purchased my Waykar dehumidifier about a month ago about a month ago for my basement.- model CHWA80A. Works real well and keeps basement dry! Use a garden hose to drain into my sump pump cavity so only need to check about once a week to insure it is running. No problems and highly recommended.
Works well. My unit has the door flapper that can be set to move constantly redirecting where the air goes. It does collect a lot of the moisture out of the air but I do not think it is 80 pintsd a day, more like 50 pints probably on average at most. It does work well however I can see an increase in my power usage from it since I have solar and can monitor daily power usage.
Bought this to lower the humidity in the basement. In the hot humid weather water condenses on the cold water pipe that runs across the basement to the water softener and drips to the floor. This dehumidifier dropped the humidity and stopped all dripping the first day of use. First 2 days over 5 gal of water removed. The directions are good and easy to understand. Top controls make setting and changing settings easy. Easy to access air filter keeps debris and dust off the coils. At 873 watts this is relatively energy efficient for the work it does. The included hose for self draining at just over 3' was too short between the electric plug needed and the drain so I bought 10' and then it was all setup and I didn't have to worry about draining. It has an automatic shutoff if the tank fills and you're not using a hose to drain it. It's really not that heavy but it has built in wheels and a handle for easy movement. I'm quite happy with it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been impressed with how accurately this dehumidifier measures and maintains humidity. I verified its readings with an independent humidity sensor, and the unit consistently matched the actual room conditions. The automatic shut‑off feature when the humidity reaches the set point is a great energy saver, and I appreciated how efficiently it ran. When running it performs very well and kept the space comfortable and dry.
Such a relief! Finally, my basement is dry and fresh! Originally, I purchased the smaller tank, but I later upgraded to the 80-pint size. When I first turned it on, the basement was no longer humid and odorous. A larger tank also helps significantly. Excellent to have in the basement.
This is second unit we have purchased, bought one year ago so happy with first decided to replace large older model. Very happy with new unit. Quiet and effective, all I could ask.
