After purchasing this dehumidifier, the unit functioned satisfactorily for several months. Given that the dehumidifier is a mechanical appliance, there is always the possibility of an operating issue developing. Such is the case here. After contacting Waykar's customer service, I was delighted with the attention given to my issue. Customer service replied quickly to the situation and responded with care and concern. Waykar provided a replacement of equal quality in accordance with the terms of the warranty. This seller deserves a five-star rating for its expeditious response and demonstrated desire to stand behind its products. Customer satisfaction is alive and well at Waykar. I am greatly impressed with this company's commitment to providing excellent customer service. In the world of commerce, it's important to deal with a company that can be trusted to honor its contract with the customer. It has been my experience that Waykar is one of those companies.

This is a really nice unit that replaced a different brand 50 pint one. This one really sucks the water out of a 900 sq ft basement. The only thing that sucks is the bucket can’t be emptied into a bucket with out getting water all over no matter how slow you pour it. I reuse the water for washing cars. I make do with that minor flaw but it really should be redesigned. Hope this lasts longer than three years!

Great machine and Quiet

We bought this unit 8 months ago and it works great. We had an issue with it recently and call the support group and they are so responsive. The decided to send us a new unit . I highly recommend this 150. it keeps our 5000 sq sf basement garage at 45 percent humidity with ease. We have owned other brands that did not work a well.

Keeps Basement dry

Purchased my Waykar dehumidifier about a month ago about a month ago for my basement.- model CHWA80A. Works real well and keeps basement dry! Use a garden hose to drain into my sump pump cavity so only need to check about once a week to insure it is running. No problems and highly recommended.

Does work and not too expensive on power usage.

Works well. My unit has the door flapper that can be set to move constantly redirecting where the air goes. It does collect a lot of the moisture out of the air but I do not think it is 80 pintsd a day, more like 50 pints probably on average at most. It does work well however I can see an increase in my power usage from it since I have solar and can monitor daily power usage.

Bought this to lower the humidity in the basement. In the hot humid weather water condenses on the cold water pipe that runs across the basement to the water softener and drips to the floor. This dehumidifier dropped the humidity and stopped all dripping the first day of use. First 2 days over 5 gal of water removed.
The directions are good and easy to understand. Top controls make setting and changing settings easy. Easy to access air filter keeps debris and dust off the coils. At 873 watts this is relatively energy efficient for the work it does. The included hose for self draining at just over 3' was too short between the electric plug needed and the drain so I bought 10' and then it was all setup and I didn't have to worry about draining. It has an automatic shutoff if the tank fills and you're not using a hose to drain it. It's really not that heavy but it has built in wheels and a handle for easy movement. I'm quite happy with it.

I verified its readings with an independent humidity sensor, and the unit consistently matched the actual room conditions.
