Dethatcher and aerator

My lawn had several years of growth and the Dethatcher removed all of the extra growth with ease
I filled up three large bins
It was easy to assemble and adjust to the proper height
I used a heavy duty extension cord and the holder kept it properly positioned . It ran smoothly and the thatch bag was easily disconnected I can empty the cuttings
It was easy to replace the Dethatcher with the Aerator
After reseeding my lawn and covering it with Top Soil after 2 weeks I am seeing a beautiful lawn coming to life
The cost of the Dethatcher/aerator was reasonable and saved me from hiring an expensive professional

Good buy for the price

Lightweight and easy to maneuver. It raked up quite a bit of thatch. The catcher bag is rather small and fills up very quickly, so I ended up taking it off and just leaving the thatch on the ground, following up afterwards with my lawn mower with a larger bag. After further review, I've got to take a 2nd run over some of the worse spots. I'm anxious to see how well it aerates next spring. Overall, good buy for the price.

After 20 years of no raking there was plenty of thatch in the lawn. This little machine did a very good job of removing it.

Assembly was fairly easy. Lucky I read the reviews and remembered to add the cord holder. I was able to try both blades with two passes before it started raining. Seems to work properly.

Lawn Aerator/Dethatcher

This is a workhorse. I dethatched for my entire lawn over a two-day period without the bagger. The bag would have filled too fast and hindered my work so I used my lawn leaf blower to capture the dethatched grasses to dispose of. Even with the electrical cord needed to operate I completed the project myself.
One safety measure that is not addressed in the instruction booklet that is very important to consider is - 'Call Before You Dig', 811 in CT - especially if you are going the added depth with the aerator/dethatcher. It is better to be safe than to have the machine come across an unexpected wire underground.
