Samsung fridge cool factor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the beverage center. I can grab a drink or water easily. The door is much easier to open then the full fridge door. So convenient. Plus the comments I get on how cool a feature it is. I also love all the door panel options I had to choose from.

Very, very difficult to install

It is almost impossible to get the old filter out and install a new filter. The filter does not want to turn and it feels like excessive force is required to do it. I laughed when I saw how easy it looks on the video.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does not work, poor fitment.

I went to change the water filter in my Samsung refrigerator and no matter what I did it would not totally go in. I put the old filter back in and it works fine. Both filters have the same numbers on them, HAF-QIN/EXP, I bought a three pack, I tried another one and will not work either. So frustrating.

Beware of water filter not fitting in refrigerator

Referenced my refrigerator RF23M8070SG and bought the Samsung brand HAF-QIN FILTER AS DIRECTED. Water filter doesn’t fit in properly and will not seat as it should. Waste of money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Don't buy a refrigerator that uses this filter

I have never had a filter so hard to install. My filter has leaked since the day we bought the refrigerator. I decided to check to see if the filter was installed correctly. It took over 30 minutes to get it back in and it is still leaking. It makes me want to get rid of my refrigerator which is less than 5 months old. No more Samsung refrigerators for me.

Hit or miss. Inconsistent quality.

I regularly buy these from Samsung and noticed that these are hit or miss. Sometimes they do not make a difference in the water taste at all. (double checked seating, etc.) Then I grab a new one and water immediately tastes better. Not sure why some filters don't work. Out of the 6 I purchased, 3 had issues where the water tasted like tap water. The other 3 worked great.
