Good product, good strong motor for the leaves, only negative is the cord frequently slips out from its hook, and the unit as a whole is a bit heavy, a shoulder strap might help, but otherwise good unit
The machine itself works fine - as advertised, but the bag for use with the vacuum function is very poor. Well not the bag but the zipper for emptying out the debris. It doesn't have proper teeth just piece of twisted plastic wire sewn into the backing cloth. On the second usage the plastic wire on mine started to become detached form the cloth and jammed the zip completely. I had to cut the zip open to get the leaves out rendering the bag useless. Fortunately I found someone who could remove this piece of cheap garbage and sew in a proper zip, it works fine now.
MY ULTRA UNIT IS MELTING THE PLUG END OF THE OUTSIDE RATED EXTENSION CORDS. I HAVE MELTED 2 SO FAR USING THIS 12 AMP UNIT. BURNING AND MELTING SMELL FROM PLUG END.!!!
I did some online research, notably in "Consumer Reports", and the Toro got good reviews, was well priced and seemed to fit my needs. I could not be more pleased! I really am impressed. It's so powerful that I can't use it at full blast. I do wish the assembly directions were easier to follow. An online video showed the proper sequence of steps and then it was extremely easy. Looking forward to trying the vacuum feature, but so far the blower is great! Highly recommended. I can't speak to long-term dependability as I have only had it for a month.
