[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had one of these years ago, used it so much it finally wore out {nothing lasts forever). I made the mistake of purchasing another brand (IT SUC**D). This machine has the metal impeller, and it really chops up the leaves. The best part is you don't spend all your time unclogging it because it also does a good job on the small branches that the other brand clogs on. They make great products, like my old Electric Mower.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great tool. I have been using Toro products for years and find them to be of the highest quality and they last for a long time making them cost effective. This blower is so powerful it makes the job of taking care of your lawn much easier and faster. It's especially great in the fall when all the leaves fall. The vac shredder & bag attachment significantly shortens the time and effort needed to get those leaves bagged. The metal impeller stands up to lots of abuse that normally would break the plastic that other manufactures use. Keep up the good work on your mowers, blowers and other products.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found this unit much more powerful than expected. I like the adjustable air flow depending on what you want to blow and the cord lock is very useful.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Toro Blower/vacuum, the blower works very well and maybe better than what I was expecting. Haven’t used the vacuum yet so hoping it will gring up our bamboo leaves. Fingers crossed.
I used it occasionally for two years and then the variable speed knob failed - it only ran on full power. Then the motor failed, and I needed to spin the rotor to get the brushes to engage. Then it would not work at all.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This unit replaced an old 1990's Toro Super Blower 850 (51575) where the plastic impeller broke mainly from just age vs. a small enough stone that got sucked up. Although simple in design, 30 years later this Ultra Blower has a much more quiet motor, better ergonomics, better bag attachment, and a metal impeller. Used to suck up leaves from maple and magnolia trees, taunton yew trimmings, and boxwood trimmings out of our stone mulch. See before & after photos. I can suck everything up on the 1/2 speed setting and have no worry about it pulling up the rocks. As I do I expect the impeller, even metal, to break at some point after it sucks up something it shouldn't I went on Toro's website to order a spare. Come to find that already you can't get replacement bags or the vac tubes for it, so -1 star for "current" support lacking with replacement parts.
