I bought this blower vacuum to use mainly as a vacuum. I have a lot of trees in my back yard and it does an excellent job of vacuuming the leaves from our shrubs and ground cover. It grinds the leaves very nicely and they are easily disposed of from the collection bag. Very satisfied.
This product is great for getting leaves off of multch.

Overall this products works great. Only problem is that I'm now on my 3rd unit. Previous 2 had motor failures. Toro needs a better quality electric motor.
Not ergonomically designed. Not for women. Blower good. Vac is poorly designed. Vac mode: cord is at front and tangles, bag very heavy to carry on shoulder and walk around, hard to maneuver with the poorly designed vac attachments (drag it), zipper location is wrong - collects all debris particles and dust. Zipper let go after 2 uses, putting attachments on/off lacks ease ability. A major redesign of the vac should be done. POOR.

Sorry to hear you are not happy with this machine. Our blower vac weighs in at 8.5 lbs, and the shoulder strap will help distribute the weight. We recommend not dragging the bag on the ground as you operate, in order to prolong the life of the bag. Either adjust the strap, otherwise we do offer the leaf collector as an accessory to the blower vac. This leaf collector eliminate the bag and will connect your blower to a utility bin. We were looking for a leaf blower when we found this Toro Ultra blower vac. It's great that you can blow the leaves into a group than vacuum them up and have them mulched into a carry bag. Being only 5'6" tall I'd like to have the ability to shorten or lengthen the vacuum nozzle to suit the height of the user. I find it difficult to use the vacuum feature without it sucking to the ground as I can't keep it up off the ground.
I bought it primarily for the vacuum & mulch feature. It worked fantastically. I couldn't be more pleased. I have a lot of dirty Oak trees on the property, that drop tons of twigs along with the leaves. The toro didn't suck up the larger ones but it did a great job in my estimation. The girlfriend says we're at least a week ahead of last year, with yard clean-up. I won't lie sometimes the throat clogs when you hit wet matted leaves & twigs, but a fraction of the time of my last vacuum. The blower is very powerful for an electric, but I'd rather not chase leaves around the yard.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very happy with this blower. I liked all the different attachments that came with the blower. It allowed me to concentrate as much air power as I needed especially when blowing wet leaves. Also worked good in blowing leaves off the rain gutters. I would recommend it to anyone in need of replacing there old unit.
Doesn't really mulch your leaves. Most of what you pick up are bagged as whole leaves. Needs a sharper blade and more power. Plan on buying 100 to 150 feet in extension cord; cost more than the equipment. Very inefficient in picking up leaves out of grass or mulch. The bag ripped; had to replace. The strap on the bag is very uncomfortable.
Pros: color is nice.
Cons: blower/mulcher/vacuum

I bought this product in 2013 and use it regularly. The blower is fine, not too heavy, and I like the variable speeds. The vac gets up the leaves OK and the metal impeller is safe with twigs and acorns though the acorns don't always make it to the bag. The bag is a pain. When full it is heavy and awkward and the strap is uncomfortable. It unzips at the side from the top down so getting leaves into a bin is messy and dusty.
