[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this to blow the snow off my sidewalks. My neighbors have such a machine and it looked like a better idea for removing an inch or two of snow -- which is what we normally get around here. What I found was that the blower was useless in those places where someone had already stepped, as it didn't have the power to lift and remove the crunched-down snow. And the snow that it did remove simply swirled around me and left a coating on the places that I had already blown clear. I think it might be useful for collecting leaves in the fall, but for snow removal...nah.
Pros: it starts easily.
Cons: it's all but useless for snow removal.

Congratulations on your new blower! The Ultra Leaf Blower Vac has a blower speed of 250 mph with concentration nozzles to focus the power. This machine was designed to handle leaves and life like material. The Ultra Blower Vac product page provides videos for the best operational uses of this machine. I have only used it once since buying.
The price was very reasonable compared to other brands and features I was looking for.
The blower is quite powerful. A great feature is the ability to adjust the blowing (and vacuuming) power. It is quieter than I expected. However, I still wear earplugs. The weight is just fine.
Using it as a vacuum is a bit cumbersome because of the vacuum tube and bag positions. This could be user inexperience so it might take some getting used to. Some reviews mentioned a plastic blower/vacuum blade- it is nice to see that it is a metal blade now.
Overall, I recommend for simple house use.
Pros: adjustable speeds
Cons: vacuum design

I bought this blower last year. Worked great last season, but this year after 15 min.it started to give off a strong burning electric smell. I shut it off and checked to see if it was jammed, nothing.I let it sit for awhile thinking it overheated.turned it back on, nothing.I paid a lot for this blower and I expected years of use. Very disappointed. And yes I tried the reset;still nothing.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Quite powerful. The location of the knob on top is much easier to access than a switch underneath Just bought it so do not know how dependable it will be. Two minor issues for me - am a woman - it is a bit heavy after a while handling it and the cord has a tendency to get loose. No matter what I tried it always ends up disconnecting.
Pros: position of the knob
Cons: never know which side of the plug goes in

We agree! The Ultra, along side with the Ultra Plus are the most powerful out of our blower/vac product lineup. This blower/vac has a blower speed of 250 mph and vacuum cfm of 410. All this power, comes with the weight of 8.9 lbs. Please keep in mind, we do have lighter options within our blower/vac product selection at Toro.com/yardtools. When operating any of our electric blower/vac we recommend using the cord lock feature to ensure the cord does not unplug easily, during use. We also recommend checking out our awesome help center video "Tips to Using Blower Vacs and String Trimmers" (Toro.com/support) in regards to demonstrating how to use the cord lock feature. Inexpensive, lots of air. Mulcher works great. Clips a bit sticky to open and release. Light and easy to use.

Great features in blower and vacuum modes BUT impeller housing gets jammed up with shredded leaves if they are wet. No big deal but a little time consuming to clear out of housing. Yeah, I know I coulda waited until they dried, but a forecasted snow storm (CO weather!) forced a rushed pick up of leaves.
