I have not used it as a vacuum because I have too many acorns in my yard. The leaf blower is excellent in taking care of my leaf problem! I also like the power adjustment switch, I can turn the power down when blowing out from under my carport! Great blower for the price!
Works well, may not last past the warrantee period

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second Toro Blower Vac. I mostly use it to vacuum and shred maple leaves. It does a good job picking up leaves and tearing them into smaller pieces, but raking is faster. The main advantage over raking is that it reduces the volume of the leaves to about a third which makes composting them or disposing them much easier. Based on my experience with my first blower, I would not expect it to last more than a couple of years.
Pros: reduces leaf volume, shredded leaves compost well, best of electric blower/vacs
Cons: questionable reliability

Great power, more than all electric's out there. Little on the heavy side but, not that bad.
Pros: power
Cons: little heavy

The blower part of this works really well. Powerful and can push large piles of leaves all around. As a mulcher, anything other than dry leaves and the unit clogs. Wet leaves are terrible and even little twigs will clog the unit. Also, after slightly more than 2 years, the unit has shorted out 2 of my electrical cords. When I called Toro today they had no advice other than buy a new one or take it to a service center. When I called the service center the guy laughed and said they get calls on these all time. I'm a couple months outside of the 2 year warranty.
Pros: leaf blower, ease of use
Cons: mulching, electrical short

We thank you for your response. To avoid shorting out any cords Toro recommends using an extension cord no longer than 150 feet with a gauge rating between 12 and 14. Toro offers multiple support videos. The following link will provide customers with tips to get the best performance out of blower/vacs and string trimmers- https://www.toro.com/en/customer-support/help-center-yardtools#tipsblowerandtrimmer.
Solid blower. Obviously not as powerful as gas, but that should be a given. Haven't tried to use it as a mulcher yet, so can't speak on that aspect. But it certainly blows and moves the leaves. Works great after the oak trees are done pollinating as well.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We were looking for a product to minimize our leaf removal effort. This product did just that! During one of our leaf removal times, I was able to reduce what would have normally required approximately 5 bags of leaves into 1 bag without as much raking, bending and packing as it would have required otherwise. The only difficulty that I have experienced is handling and maneuvering the bag on the vacuum. Otherwise, this is a great product and I recommend it to anyone who wants to make their job easier. The blower is very easy to use for "sweeping" up debris before using the vacuum.
