I purchased one of these and the adapter kit to convert it to a blower to clean gutters. I used it today. The vac/blower & adapter to blow out gutters was hard for me to assemble because my hands are small (5’3” woman). I got it assembled & blew leaves out of my gutters. It worked good but was really heavy and awkward. It blew with such force that I had to keep turning it off to move it down the stretch if gutters as it would blow its tubes right out of the gutters. I the converted it to a vac after attaching the leaf collection bag. The bag was so long ( the shortest the shoulder strap would allow) that the bag was a couple inches off the ground. The extension tube attached to suck up leaves was so long that it was very very awkward. The whole thing was heavy. BUT THE WORST part was that it started to smell of plastic when it was running, in a few minutes it started to spark at the plugin ( a nice exterior extension cord was used), THEN it started to smoke at the plugin of the VAC!
The machine works very well. The suction attachment was partially compressed out of round shape when received but still able to assemble it onto the motor housing. Great performance. Only concern is that longer term the collection bag will not hold up. Poor stitching, especially around the in-feed attachment.
My first toy from TORO, I was looking for something reliable, with enough power for my front and back yard, and I was surprised with this blower/vacuum, it did the job just like I was expecting. I'm very happy and my front yard looks great.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Ultra Blower Vac whipped my half acre lawn into shape much faster than I ever thought possible. Assembly couldn’t have been easier and i was pleasantly surprised at how smooth and comfortable it was to use, even at top power. With a half-acre yard, it anticipated that it would be tiresome, but it was much easier (and fun!) to tote around the yard.
Have used unit 3 times so far to roundup and then mulch leaves. Unit does excellent job to date. Only problem to date is being able release components with my old hands but have persevered
Very good yard appliance - power and versatility 2nd to none in an electric unit.

Three days ago I was talking to my spouse about what a great product this is. No more than 2 minutes later a piece of mulch was sucked up and froze the metal impeller causing the unit to burnout. I immediately turned it off but too late.
I will buy another as it is a very good value but sure do wish it had an overload protector.
Pros: versatility, high speed when blowing leaves, strong suction
