Failed to run after light use

Poor quality device. Changing from blower to vac requires removal of two pieces of equipment while balancing the motor section. The interlock fails if not properly connected. Best used as a single device. I will not buy another.
Cons: too difficult to switch from blower to vac, fails too easily, poor choice of plastics

I have had a few of these. I haven't had an issue with the bag because I don't use the bag too often. I bought a hose and cover for my garbage can that pumps the shredded leaves right into the garbage can. It saves a step but it does require dealing with relocating the trash can from time to time. But if you use the leaf blower option and blow the leaves into several big piles, it's no big deal. After a few years I have noticed that the blades on the blower are getting chipped from hard objects getting sucked up into the blade. That's to be expected when rocks get into the blade. A replacement blade is on order shortly. Another thing I will note, after a few years the safety switch failed. I bypassed the switch but would not recommend this. It means the blower can turn on any time the switch is turned on. I unplug the cord any time I make changes to the device changing it from blower to vacuum.

The 51619 blower/vac is an excellent product. I have bought many other products. The set up and the time I used it was great. The other product could not keep up. A neighbor showed me his older model and was pleased with it. I had raked my yard and it was getting dark. Rushed to the nearest Toro dealer, bought it. 5 minutes and sucking up a lot of leaves. Thank you TORO! It has great features. Switching to blower to vac was pretty easy. The power of the vac/blower is pretty powerful.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The blower vac appears to be made very well. The method of attaching the blower nozzle and vacuum tube seems solid and durable. There is good range of air speed and volume. The only concern is the weight of the unit which is more than some similar units.

The Ultra Blower is a Very Good Product Except for the Bag

I have been using my Ultra Blower for many years and have been quite happy with it except for the bag. (Note: the Ultra Blower has a metal impeller, the Super Blower has a plastic impeller - you don't want a plastic impeller.) Now I have gone through many bags, about one per year, because the zipper fails. If you complain about it, Toro will accuse you of dragging the bag. One other note, if you buy this blower and the bag fails, do not throw it away. You will need its plastic collar for a new bag - Toro seems to have stopped including them with the replacement bags.

Waste of money
