We have had this coffee maker for about 1.5 years. After about 6 mos we got an error saying we needed to descale the machine and it wouldn’t brew despite descaling multiple times. We were fortunately able to get a replacement which is great, but the same thing is happening again. Also-when trying to make a smaller batch of coffee (ex 3 cups) the water just doesn’t get hot no matter how high you set the temperature. Comes out consistently like warm .
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good afternoon,
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review on your Café Specialty Drip Coffee Maker- your feedback is very important to us!
With that being said, we are so sorry to hear that you are having issues with your appliance. This is definitely not the quality that we expect here at Café Appliances, and we truly apologize for any frustration or disappointment this has caused.
We would recommend that you reach out to the Warranty Department to make a claim. You can refer to page 16 of the owners manual at the link below for instructions on how to initiate a warranty claim:
Difficulty: We're low vision people. Print in the manual and on the coffee maker are a challenge because it is so small. Would haqve been helpful if the manual said it was the pot--not the coffee maker--that kept the coffee hot for two hours. It would also be helpful if one could tell how much wter is in the pot. Either you have to get a measuring cup or guess by the weight of the pot how much water is in the pot. If it doesn't come up to the point in the tank that you had wished, you have to guess how much more to put in the pot!
Great control over brewing temperature and intensity of the coffee. WiFi control is a big plus for pre-prepared coffee making. Just wish the thermos Carafe had a see through to measure how much coffee is still in the pot.
