Will fall apart within 6 months

Don't waste your money on this product. The gold paint wears off within less than 6 months of purchase. It's very difficult to clean. If you purchase the item in person, be sure to save your receipt. GE will not accept your credit card statement showing the purchase if it was in store. For the price point, I was shocked at how quickly it fell apart. GE is aware of the issue based on other reviews but they haven't fixed it and won't replace it. Disappointing purchase

DOES NOT KEEP COFFEE HOT IN CARAFE

Worked great for a couple of years and now will not keep my coffee hot in the carafe. I would have thought after spending this much money on a simple coffee maker that it would have lasted longer. Will not buy another one.

We can understand how important it is to have a hot cup of coffee in the morning! However, there is no heater under the thermal carafe, so once the coffee is brewed, it will slowly lose heat. The coffee stays hot due to the vacuum seal thermal carafe. The thermal carafe retains the heat of the coffee for a minimum of 1 hour after brewing.

Variations in coffee ground fineness will cause overflows. The unit is rated as 10 cup but a full coffee pot of water is barely 9 cups on the fill marks.

We are happy to help you with your coffee maker. The grind size can affect the water flow. We recommend the use of a minimum of a medium grind coffee. Any finer grind than that can lead to overflow of coffee grounds. We also recommend to use the provided scoop with a flush level of grounds. Heaping scoops can lead to too much grinds/coffee grounds and potentially cause overflows.

Beautiful design

Coffee machine is stunning! We totally bought it for the looks but it also makes a great cup (or pot) of coffee. The settings all feel elegant.
The only complaint we have after using it daily for over 6 weeks is that it’s quite messy after brewing. The part where the water comes out still drips water after brewing even if it’s sat for hours. Where the coffee pours into the pot also gets a bit messy which is a bummer when it’s a white pot.
If you can see past those things it’s an excellent purchase.
I would recommend this to a friend!
