Easy set up with comfort

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When you realize that sound only enhances gameplay, you are gonna want these JBL Quantum 950X wireless headphones. Several times during a role playing game, I had to look behind me to see who was there, not realizing the sounds I was hearing was the super surround sound in the headphones. The 950X were very easy to set up and the oversized padded ear cups were very comfortable with almost no ear fatigue after several hours of play. The headband hammock also reduced the weightiness of the headphones. The 950Xs are built to last for years and game consoles to come. The 950X is fairly expensive, but if you want the best in sound during any type of gameplay, be ready to get the best available.

Phenomenal headset for gaming, entertainment, and

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are an AWESOME set of gaming headphones. They work seamlessly with consoles as well as with my PC. The headset contains all of the controls that you need to customize your sound, audio mix, and microphone settings. The audio quality and clarity is incredible. These have large drivers, which deliver excellent quality sound through their 2.4ghz connection - and playing lossless music sounds incredible through this set. The ability to adjust the EQ is also a huge win! The base station is also awesome, allowing you to always have a battery charged and ready to go. Incredibly versatile and clever system. The headphones also feel very well built. They feel solid, but light and comfortable for all-day wearing. They are also big head friendly (speaking from my own experience). Overall, these are an excellent gaming headset for those who play competitively while also being awesome for listening to music, watching movies, and casual gaming!

The JBL Quantum 950X is a premium wireless gaming

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As soon as you see the box itself you know you are about to open a quality product. Personally I prefer the JBL brand when choosing a headset due to past experiences with their products. I’m a steady gamer and have 4 different models of JBL headphones that I use often. After using the 950X for 2 weeks I can say that this model tops the others. Its sound quality and ease of use is top notch. The bass is deep and the highs are crystal clear. The removable mic is a huge plus and dual recharge capability is very cool. I’ve already used it for 20+ hours of gaming and still running strong with zero charging needed so far. The Bluetooth stays connected no matter where I am in the house. Super comfortable and the sound canceling is amazing. Controls on each ear are easy to use and provide excellent functionality. I would highly recommend this model for serious gamers if you are looking for an edge in your play. Well done JBL!

Sound with base and design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JBL Quantum 950x have Extremely crystal clear sound and comfortable fitted on my head with beautiful bass when I am playing my games. I love how it has a Charing base with the RGB lighting. The design is absolutely beautiful all around it and i like you can take the battery out from the side and replace them. They bluetooth is great at how easy they can connect. I'm happy to be able to use these while I play in teams groups in my favorite games.

Potential for killer value!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] TLDR: I've enjoyed using these and I think they can be a solid option doing double duty for gaming/communication and travel. I rate these at 4 stars (well, I would say 4 ⅓!) instead of 5 due to comfort/overheating concerns and AmbientAware ("transparency" mode) + SideTone (microphone monitoring or "talk back") being a little lackluster. Also, this review is very long bc there is a lot to consider when looking at a gaming headset that costs THIS much. (Note: if on sale for 20%+, the value of these might be unbeatable!)
While the Quantum 950X could use some improvements (mostly in software), I'm pretty impressed by these. Sound quality is great, and the detail from these drivers is above average. The tuning took some time get used to (or maybe it was burn in) but there is not much to complain about when it comes to their sound. I find them to be more enjoyable when listening at low volume compared to audiophile headphones without an equal loudness curve, probably because it's built in. Speaking of which, the bass is boosted and fun, but can mask some midrange detail. I was surprised that the sound is not entirely closed in and forced to be intimate; it has some soundstage, and I don't believe it's thanks to DSP, just good old-fashioned tuning techniques (I think).
Onto the software and the hub, the wireless connection is kind of insane. I can head upstairs to the opposite side of the house and still hear + communicate like I'm near my PC, no drop-outs. This headset allows you to connect via the hub and Bluetooth and listen to both at the same time. I utilize this quite a bit, watching movies via Bluetooth while at work. A minor issue I have when switching the hub back and forth between work and personal computers, it defaults to "console mode", and volume control in this mode is not particularly smooth. One step of volume is about 4 dB which is too big of a jump per-click in my opinion (there are 8 steps total), and add a minor delay to this, which means you can easily blast your ears within a fraction of a second. This is fixed by holding the hub button for 10 seconds, at which point it is recognized by the QuantumENGINE software and directly controls the PC volume. Note that this has to be done every time the hub is unplugged and plugged back in to a computer.
Head tracking is cool and fun for messing with while chilling at your desk, watching videos, or talking to friends; probably obviously not recommended for competitive games. I actually use this quite a bit, surprisingly. The spatial sound mode is novel at first, but I don't believe it's worth using over stock sound (or head tracking, because it's fun!). I may not have calibrated correctly with the included in-ear microphone, but I didn't like the sound. It made things much more treble-focused. Ambient aware is a bit weak (careful touching the on-board mics just behind the cables at the top of the cups!), leaving people in front of you attenuated while voices behind you can be heard clearly. However, I would say the ANC is so good, it's airplane approved!
Random notes:
• The driver flex is real and it is not fun.
• Loud mic pop when disconnecting/reconnecting the mic, also ouch.
• Dual connection is not possible while the headset it plugged in.
• It can be very easy to forget when you're muted, even when using side tone which makes it much easier to tell. I wish there was a visible mic-mute indicator for when the headset is on your head. Also, there are three steps for your mic volume in your own headset, but the lowest value is still too loud.
• My friends mention my mic quality is slightly less clear but still quite good compared to my dedicated on-headphone magnet-mounted microphone.
• I can see these getting too warm on-head for some after wearing for more than a few hours. They are very comfortable though!
• I can see the earpads flaking with enough time and skin oils. Fortunately though, the earpads and head strap are easily swapped!

I almost forgot to mention the 2 batteries and the hot swappability! The hub charges the 2nd battery while using the headset, which is an incredible feature. What's more, a full charge of the battery for this headset lasts me more than 2 FULL days of use!
In closing, as I've alluded to, the Quantum 950X is bit like a replacement for good ANC headphones and dedicated desk set, as mainstream travel headphone options are priced similarly while a dedicated desk mic system can be another expense. When these are viewed in the perspective of "these can be both my travel wireless headphones and my gaming communication setup" (maybe even for work meetings on top of that), the proposed value increases and can be more than just an expensive setup to play games and talk with online friends. The ANC and Ambient Aware system helps even with it not being the best. They're no replacement for open-back headphones, but the isolation, when needed is competitive. I find them to be a jack of all trades; something like this would be hard to find at the price otherwise!

Best headphones!

These headphones have some many custom options from game to chat volume, all the way to changing the pitch so you can hear shots! They are very comfortable especially for someone who has small ears that get sore. They come in a nice bag so if you need to take the somewhere.

The unboxing was also a vibe. Two swappable batteries (genius), the wireless USB dongle, braided purple cables, and a soft travel pouch. They really thought of everything.
